Hi everyone - used to take part in this when I was clearing my debt - am now debt free but due to give birth in 3 and a half weeks, mat leave just started so I'm keeping an eye on the pennies again! I also got a lovely kitchen diary for Christmas that I'm going to use to record what we're having, and a family calendar with a wipe clean bit on so I can make notes of what needs using up in the fridge. I also want to get the freezer emptied a bit so I can get batch cooking!

    So, my plan is:

Yesterday: Reggae reggae chicken from freezer with rice and peas, and carrots and broccoli
Today: Pies from freezer with mash, carrots and broccoli
Wednesday: Spanish omelette (we've got 11 eggs dated 11th Jan) with savoury rice and salad
Thursday: Pasta with tomato and veg sauce
Friday: Veg curry from freezer with rice
Saturday: Chickpea, squash and raisin cous cous
    Sunday: Mushroom and butternut risotto

Snacks will be wensleydale and cranberry pastries (using up christmas pastry and cheese!) and banana muffins

OH's lunches will be either leftovers or piri piri turkey with rice and peas, I will have pasta apart from the day we're having pasta for tea when I'll have an omelette.
My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £5,000 | Virgin Credit Card: £4079.19

I've pretty much finished emptying the freezer :T so i've had books and magazine clippings out to plan new meals for next week and beyond :j
