Meal planning fell off a bit in Dec but now back on track
Sat No breakfast as got up late/baked spud + salad/chicken and potato curry + nann bread (left over fron NYE party)
Sun Porridge/toast+yogurt/Roast beef +veg+trimmings
Mon Porridge/baked potato with chilli left over from NYE party/Pot luck HM frozen meal
Tue Porridge/soup/Pot luck HM frozen meal
Wed Porridge/soup/HM soup and apple/blackberr crumble
Thur Porridge/soup/veg crumble
Fri Porridge/soup/fish pie + veg
DH and DD's will have sandwiches for lunch.I am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order .0 -
Will read through the rest of your meal plans tomorrow as I didn't realise how late it was! Trying to be organised for 2011, so here goes:
Mon Prawn Yakisoba (DH cooking)
Tue Meatballs & Spaghetti
Wed Roast Beef (leftover from this evening)
Thu Pasta Carbonara & Garlic Bread
Fri Chicken in Mushroom Sauce & Rice
Sat Spinach & Ricotta Pizza with Curly Fries (whoopsied and lurking in freezer)
Sun Sausages & Mash
Plan to make soup for lunches - Potato & Leek, Pea & Ham. Was going to try some baking too, but we have lots of shortbread and cake type things from festive season, so will leave it for now!0 -

Tuesday, 04-Jan Pasta and pesto, with mushrooms and cherry tomatoes
Wednesday, 05-Jan Oven baked salmon fillet, new pots and veg
Thursday, 06-Jan BBQ Chicken pizza with either chips or wedges
Friday, 07-Jan Grilled chicken breast, new potatoes and veg
Saturday, 08-Jan Moussaka and salad

Guys I really want to get into the habit of cooking at home and eating healthily. Which websites/cookbooks would you recommend for inspiration?
I really want to do lasagne, tarts, pies etc. Which pastries dough would be best.

Hi all and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Was trying to run down the freezer but after last weeks incredibly good haul of woopsies I have managed to fill them to bursting again
Silly temptation (actually silly me giving in to temptation!!)
Anyway here goes
MONDAY
Lunch - poached eggs with muffins
Dinner - chicken burger with salad and maybe a few fries
TUESDAY
Lunch - beans on toast for DS and chilli noodles for me
Dinner - (at work) HM veg soup and roll
WEDNESDAY
Lunch - HM nuggets and salad
Dinner - sausage and mash
THURSDAY
Lunch - soup and sarnie
Dinner - out for dinner with parents as its my birthday (and mums on 4th)
FRIDAY
Lunch - cold meat and cous cous
Dinner - plate pie and mash (or maybe just with veg depending on how hungry I am/am not)
Breakfast as always will be cereal or fruitEmma :dance:

Monday: Mince round, peas and mashed potatoes
Tuesday: Macaroni Cheese, broccolli
Wednesday : Sausage casserole, mashed tatties
Thursday : Fish Pie, peas, sweetcorn
Friday: Stew, carrots, tatties, cabbage
Saturday : Roast Chicken, Roast potatoes, with either salad - depending whats left or a mixture of veg.
Sandwich fillings for the week : gammon, corned beef, salad, cheese, tuna, tinned salmon, egg mayo.
We dont go back to work til the 4th, so lunch will be HM soup instead of sandwiches.
Baking will need to be done as everyone is fed up of eating christmas cake!!!!Every days a School day!0 -
