Inspired by woowoo yet again I thought I would have a look at when i will hit my next milestones. I was hoping to clear Tescos with January pay and I am still planning this however I havent been able to pay as much off the debt this month as I thought.
I will be about £900 short from my sub £30K but if all goes to plan at the end of February I will be under £29K.
I am also hoping in March I can go sub £27K I am currently about £100 off this however depending on interest this could be easy but I doubt it as this journey has never been easy.
    Plan
    Jan £30900
    Feb £28950
    Mar £27000

Now all I have to do is get on with it and make some money
    MARCH 2016 DEBT £25750/ £25035
EST DFD JAN 2021 (that needs to change)
NOW JAN 2019 (that still needs to change)

Your so close in Jan, frustrating isn't it!

£27k in March is fantastic, those figures are looking less and less scary now :)

Well I have just had my monthly chat with Lloyds as my online statement appeared with a £12 late fee. My payment hit the account a day late on the 4th when it was due on the 3rd, the money was there but couldnt be processed as they didnt open on the 3rd outcome is £12 refunded and 0% deal not affected. I wonder how may other people had the same problem but dont bother to ring up just blame the bank holiday, it must be 10000's.
Good news other Lloyds cc is now clear no interest added and just waiting to close.
Just read in another thread its free ebay listing weekend so may try and get a few bits on this weekend

Glad they refunded you and your 0% wasn't affected, I wouldn't of put it past them to have used it as an excuse to rip you off!

Good news on the other card clearing with no more interest :)

God how do they get away with that - makes me so mad! Well done you for challenging them!

There is no point in negative thought, it takes up time and energy which could be used in a positive, happy way!

Been playing with my favorite spreadsheet again and I have had a change of heart. Although clearing Tesco cc would be good the interest is frozen as I have closed the account and now with the way payments are allocated 2 of my cards have balances incurring higher interest so Im going to concentrate on clearing them first.
I also think I have stretched our budget a bit thin just so we can clear as much as possible in 2011 the problem is we dont have enough money left to live so my new plan is to ease off a bit so we are not worried about how we are going to eat.
We have found out we have a payout due to us in June 2012 which will be a minimum of £10k but could be more, I didnt want to use it on debt but life is too short to keep worrying.
Im not giving up on debt busting or giving up the hope of being debt free at the end of 2011 but im not putting myself under so much pressure, there is so much stuff going on at the moment I think I need to cut myself some slack.

    Hi HWG

Having a workable budget is the most important thing, and being left worrying about how to put food on the table defeats the object!

As long as were doing our best every month and having a bit of fun along the way, we will get there when we get there :)

  • You deserve to cut yourself a bit of slack. Think back 18 months - would ypu even have bothered checking your cc statement, nevermind notive the £12 charge. You've come a long way and I am confident that you will keep on track even with a few little luxuries! :)
Proud to be dealing with my debts,
