It will be GONE !!! Part Two

Options
A quick update on where we have come from, I lost my job at the end of 2009 and shortly after I had my LBM as it suddenly struck me we could cover minimum payments but we would not be able to live if I didn’t get a job straight away. I was lucky and started work in January 2010 however I have moved job twice and hopefully I am settled for the moment at least until the debt is paid.
So we are starting 2011 with a debt of £32980 this is across 5 credit cards £10,000 is currently on 0% so this is one area I will be working on as we clear the debt. My aim is to be debt free on 30th December 2011 as this will be DH payday. I am still not confident that we can achieve this but I will do my best.
We have paid off 34% of our debt this year and I am going to try and get this to 50% by March 2011
I am planning on clearing my Tesco CC with January Pay, the balance outstanding is £970 but I hope to make a little extra along the way to reduce this before the end of January.
The next card to be cleared will be more obvious when the statements arrive early January, the changes on how payments are split should show be shown more clearly and I have 2 cards which have some debt on 0% and some interest bearing.
2011 PLANS

v I am going to try and pay at least £2200 a month but to clear the debt I would need to make payments of £2750 per month and that doesn’t include any interest.
v Transfer anything left in the account the day before we get paid
v Round my bank account to the nearest £5 each Friday and put in the savings account to help with any shortfall
v Reduce the OD by £50 a month to provide a safety net
v Complete as many surveys as possible (made over £100 M&S in 2010 great xmas presents)
v Sell anything that doesn’t move on ebay and Amazon
v Possibly find a part time job a few evenings a week(needs investigating)

Couldn’t think of a better title so thought I would stick with the old one –Part Two
Happy New Year to everyone lets hope its a good one for debt busting :)
MARCH 2016 DEBT £25750/ £25035
EST DFD JAN 2021 (that needs to change)
NOW JAN 2019 (that still needs to change)

Thanks for dropping in im so excited about this coming year I have a good feeling about it.

The £140 well as far as I tell its a couple of tops but he tried to change the subject several times when I asked, its not like he didnt have a huge pile of xmas presents and a birthday coming in February obviously this years debt busting journey had no impact on him maybe I need to shout a little louder LOL

    Hi HWG

You most definitely deserve a holiday and like you said DS is growing up so you need to make the most of it now whilst he still wants to go away with you, so no feeling guilty!

You have been an amazing inspiration to me throughout 2010 and I look forward to following your progress during 2011 x
