Hey guys,
When I try to upgrade my phone online through the Vodafone website I have been offered a selection of handsets for free and a reduced price to continue my existing tariff. A good start...
However, my problem is that I have a blackberry and therefore need a blackberry data package.
A Vodafone business telephone advisor was unhelpful and could not clarify this but if i accept the online upgraded tariff (£25.00pm) will I still have to add the Blackberry charge on top?? (roughly £5 extra i think)
Thanks!
Disregard anything the Vodafone representatives say on here. They give you a load of waffle, but then send you an email saying they can't deal with you as you are a business customer (I take it you are).
I've ordered my PAC, can't go soon enough, buying out the last 3 months of my contract and will be worth EVERY penny.0 -

that is my reference number from Saturday
i phoned vodafone on thursday but they were no help at all,
i must say the customer service has been extremely poor and im considering coming to the end of my contract and leaving vodafone0 -
I have had this internet dongle for almost 24 months now and am so shocked at my experience. I had the first dongle for 6 months before i began having problems with it, and needed many phone calls to technical support. After the 12th month, i got a new laptop with vista, which i didn’t think would be a problem considering it was such a long contract i had entered into, surely it must be compatible with vista? NOPE. It wasn't. I made about 50 phone calls to customer services, They tried and failed to fix it. I then took my laptop and dongle into a store about 3 times. Inconvenient right? They couldn’t help. After further phone calls and expenses i finally spoke to a woman who ‘tried’ to help me. She agreed to send me out a new dongle if i agreed to an extra 6 months on my contract. I thought this was an absolutely ridiculous solution, but was forced to agree to it due to a really important time in my degree.
This dongle worked fine for a further 6 months, but due to it being the final year of my degree, my usage was higher and my bills became higher. I then rang and spoke to an advisor, and explained to him that i was starting my dissertation where i need to download lots of PDF files as part of my research, so i would need to dramatically increase my usage for 3 months until it had finished. This advisor told me that due to these extra months being added on to my contract, if i increased my contract to £50 a month, i would need to keep it at that price for 9 months, until my contract was finished. So i already increased what i was paying in the first place to get a dongle i could actually use...and now vodafone want even more money for these extra 6 months? I DONT THINK SO.
I am a student and cannot afford £50 per month, and the man said that there was nothing he could do. So i left it and thought 'screw it', i only need this dongle from January-April, surely my bills cannot be that much higher.
I then received a bill of £90 – very expensive indeed, but i had to accept and pay it as i was too busy to worry about bills. I have just finished my dissertation and moved back to my parents house but have received a bill for £269..for one month of usage. As if anyone can afford a bill that huge?people do not pay this amount for a whole year of internet usage for a whole household. Why should i pay it for one person using it?
I have received a letter saying that Voda will reduce the amount seeing as i am a valued customer. Should i accept this or force them to cancel my contract? Ive just written a letter of complaint where should i send it?
This was a serious 2 year hassle with the dongle, i received terrible customer service resulting in ME PAYING for a replacement (surely this doesnt follow the sales of goods act due to the dongle not being fit for purpose?) and now providing me with a ridiculous bill. Advice people?!0 -
How exactly do you think you can 'force' Vodafone to cancel a contract, for producing a bill for a service which you freely admit that you have used? You knew that you were going to exceed you limits (by the 'screw it' comment) - but still proceeded to use the service anyway.
Overall, it doesn't sound like you've had a great experience - however - the large bill is a completely seperate issue to any others that you may have/have had.
I know it's not what you want to hear, but I'm afraid that I think you'll have to accept the bill - and pay up.

Hi theonlywayisup,
While we're not able to directly assist business customers with upgrades we would usually pass the details to our colleagues and ask that they take a look at what can be done and to get in touch with the customer.
I'm sorry to see that this doesn't seem to have happened in this instance and if you're able to post your email reference number or email us again via the Contact us form on our website quoting WRT135 in the subject and stating your MSE username in the text body.[#2424265]

Hi h-greenall,
It's a shame to hear about your experiences here and to help you to get things sorted out could you email your details to the Web Relations Team via the Contact us form on our website?
When sending the email you'll just need to state the code WRT135 in the subject line to make sure it comes through to us together with including a link to this thread and your MSE username in the text body so we identify your query.
Many thanks and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Lee who is part of the Vodafone WRT resolved the issue I had professionally. I cannot thank Lee enough. My issue was dealt with promptly and courteously.0

I am posting this message here as the Vodafone web form is not working. Again.

Hi, I've taken out a new contract with yourselves and agreed on £13 a month (discounted from £15pm) for 24 months. A Free white Nokia x6 and free postage.
I am very annoyed that the email I received today has confirmed that the discount is only for 21 of the 24 months. This was never mentioned even after I confirmed the monthly cost.
Also, for what its worth, the discount is £1.99 and not £2 as agreed on. Clearly an extra 1p per month isnt a problem but it was not what was agreed on.
With the above problems already apparent it will be interesting to see if the free delivery is actually free.
This issue can be solved by crediting £6.21 to my account (and additional for postage if that has been messed up too).
If not I shall be returning the phone due to misleading customer service.
I genuinely hope this issue can be resolved.
Regards
Shaun Forsdyke
