Hi guys,
Whinebunbury – I’m sorry to see the problems you’re having.
If you'd like me to take a looks at things could you email me with your details via the link in our profile here?
All you need to do is copy and paste the link into your web browser and it'll take you to the Contact us form on our website. To make sure it reaches me could you also quote the code WRT135 - MSE in the subject line?
Once sent you'll receive an automated reply with a reference number. Could you update the thread with this and I'll get back to you as soon as possible?
Supatramp – It’s a shame to see you feel that way. You can provide coverage feedback using our coverage checker.
Thanks
Jenny

To the VF rep:
That link is interesting, telling me what I can expect, however, I can tell you what I'm ACTUALLY GETTING. I'm beside the main road out of Aberdeen and my signal is continually varying between 1 and 3 bars on 2G. 4G? Don't make me laugh!!!
Interestingly, my '3' dongle is working ok plugged directly into my laptop!!!David.0 -
thanks for picking up on this one, message sent quoting that ref as requested.
not sure what you are able to do, as i've been told vodafones "position" already. including being told that i hadn't had many dropped calls, when i specifically stated that its impossible to make any and when anyone calls me and i have got enough signal for the phone to ring its impossible to hear the other person so i end the call in order to call people back on landline. i've also explained that most of the time i haven't got a signal to even try and use.
to be honest unless they can rectify the signal situation then ideally i want out of the contract with some form of compensation for the money i've wasted on it so i can move to a provider that can service the area. And would expect that the map is updated to avoid anyone else being misled into thinking there's ample coverage to make the service usable.0 -
It seems to me that Vodafone are more interested in spending fortunes taking over competitors in various parts of the world, rather than give their core British customers a decent service.
VF rolling out a 4G service would be a huge joke if it wasn't so pathetic! Next week I'll again be staying in a town just 18 miles from the oil capital of Europe, and again having to put up with a poor 2G signal. 3G is non-existant but obviously it's more important to VF that they provide London and the south of England with 4G rather than support their customers nationwide.
But.... if they took over orange and used their infrastructure maybe people in our area would find the service improved0 -
I find the length of time my phone rings before cutting out to short.
Can I have the length of time it rings before cutout increased, if so how do I go about it?
Many thanks for any help you can offer0 -

You mean increasing the time before the call diverts to voicemail. You can find all the information on the website.

Maybe Jenny would like to look into the complete lack of response from Vodafone to my query raised on their website on August 16th, reference no. 184773.0 -
Hi guys,
Supatramp – If the signal has always been like that then you can provide feedback using that link. If it’s only recently been this way then we can look into this to see if there are any faults in the area.
Just email us as per my post above if you’d like us to look into this.
whinebunbury – Please let me know the email reference number that will have been sent to you in the auto reply and I’ll check we’re got it.
kah22 – Yes you can increase this! Just follow the link that Ann S posted above.
Blue Parrot – I’m sorry to see you’ve not received a response.
The reference you’ve provided isn’t bringing anything up for me. What was it regarding? If you’d like me to look into this for you instead, email me with your details via the link in our profile here.
As above, just copy and paste the link into your web browser and it'll take you to the Contact us form on our website. To make sure it reaches me please quote the code WRT135 - MSE in the subject line.

I have just renewed my contract with Vodafone as they offered me a good deal as I saw it. However their customer service people are hamstrung by a very slow computer system that seems to cause no end of problems. As this is my third renewal, I know what to expect, but my advice is as follows...
Firstly, do NOT expect any agreement you make with them to simply happen. In my experience it's a little like giving birth (I'm a guy, so I might be out on this). There's a lot of pushing, swearing and sweating before you get the right phone and the right service. So after you've sealed the deal, ask them to text you details of the deal. Then phone back an hour later to confirm the details with another customer service Rep. It took about two hours and five reps to get it all sorted yesterday, but it DID get sorted with persistence. I have stuck with Vodafone only as they seem no worse than the rest of them. They all seem to bend over backwards to please when you renew, then be elusive and disinterested once you are trapped in a contract.0
