More cant be bothered to check bills and manage an account expect Vodafone to manage the account for them.

All part of the nanny state.

This is true! If you have money to burn, then fair enough.

Surely one can be in charge of their Direct Debits going through the bank and might question an excess charge????:money::money::money:

Vodafone can !!!! themselves. Tried to get two sims on a rolling monthly contract instead they put one on a 12 month and another on 24 month. Getting it all cancelled after so many months has been complete hell. !!!! you Vodafone, !!!! you big time.

Looks like this is a very common sort of scenario according to this thread, ask for one thing get something completely different that benefits them. Sales persons on commision only job or something so they screw the customers? Sure sounds like it!

Never using Vodafone ever again, con artists.

  • in october i took out a contract on the dialaphone website with vodafone
contract is samsung galaxy s2 900 minutes texts and internet for £31pm
now in all the years ive had contracts ive never gone over 600 minutes but took the 900 minute contract as it was the same price.
ive had a bill in nov for 135.00 because we had gone over the minutes to my amazement 85.00 of the bill was for calls i was gobsmacked and said i cant understand why all of a sudden im using a lot more minutes than i have ever done. i also explained that the phone was faulty and was told to take it into a vodafone shop who were no help at all in between i noticed when logging on to my account i was about to go over my 900 minutes again so rang and asked to have more minuted added to my packaged and they upped my minutes to 1200 for an extra few quid i certainly didnt want to be getting another bill like the last one. i then rang a few days ago because the phone is still faulty and the lady arranged to get a new one out to me in 4 days time ive now found out that my next bill is about 170.00 at the moment due to be billed on the 14th dec.
ive been told yesterday that even if my call only lasts 1 second im being billed for a full minute and i have made a lot more calls than usual because the phone is faulty and i call someone and they cant hear me so im having to call them back to see if i can get a clearer line.
im at the end of my line after only being with this company for a couple of months i cant afford this they wand over 300.00 off me in 2 months and have said that the phone itself is nothing to do with vodafone as i got the deal through dialaphone they are responsible for the phone. its daylight robbery.one guy from vodafone said yesterday if i send the phone back to them saying i want to cancel the contract as im not happy then thats all i need to do and i asked him would i receive any further bills he said no. when i asked a guy from vodafone today to confirm it was ok to do that he said no because you didnt get the phone from us. i just dont know what way to turn now.

You have an airtime contract with Vodafone, but your handset is from dialaphone. So you need to be getting dialaphone to sort out the faulty phone.

As for the billing, the first thing to do is check your bill to confirm if you did make those calls. If you did then you'll have to pay for them. If you didn't then raise a bill dispute.

If you believe that dialaphone mis-sold you the contract (by omitting important information about billing) then contact dialaphone.

    Hi meandmy2kids,

Thanks for making us aware of this.

To enable us to assist you further in regard to the billing side of things could you email me with your details via the address in our profile here and quote WRT135 - Fao Lee in the subject line?

Please be assured that as soon as you're in touch with me I'll endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible.

In regard to your phone I'm afraid Techhead is correct in saying that this is something which Dialaphone would need to assist you with further.

    Kind regards,

    Lee

  • Heidi, can you check out the progress of my problem please? I still have had no word from vodafone accounts and the 95 pounds is still unaccounted for.

    Many thanks
    Trying to shift that debt!
  • Please vote for Vodafone here.. everyone:

I have had some shocking experiences with them, i vowed to never return, but just did and the issues have restarted over again. OTELO is the way to go.

Absolutely the worst customer service ever experienced.

Just a Quick thank you to Heidi, se has resolved my problems and been fantastic in the process! All companies have issues, but it is how they deal with them that shows their worth; it took me some time to source Heidi, but once i had she understood my issues, and worked hard to resolve them quickly and easily.

If she does help you, please be kind and patient and remember your problem has not been caused by her, she is just trying to help.

    Merry Xmas
  • The REAL issue is that this is NOT how they deal with problems - even ones which start out as minor. Vodafone absolutely STINKS in terms of its so-called customer service - it should NOT be the case that only those who find their way onto here actually get problems resolved rather than see them escalate out of control thanks to Vodafone's normal response.
