Yeah, I hate some of the arrogant idiots you get on the other end of the phone, I honestly cannot for the life of me understand how they even got past the interviews with such a p**s poor attitude.

Maybe there is something in that. Looking at my experience and other posts, is it possible that the poor attitude is a requirement with the first level CSR's

The CSR's are all very limited in what they can do and their magagers are 'virtual' - you know they exist and you have heard stories about them, but you have a better chance of finding the loch ness monster.

I had my doubts about the new web relations team but have to admit they are a lot better than the normal ones you speak to via 191. They are a bit limited in what they can do but at least they are polite and try to resolve the problem.

The guy was so polite i'm not sure to call back as they have removed my discount early and cost me £10

Im having a nightmare with vodafone (well since i first got the phone really). I was plagued with "your contract is due to expire, and we would like to offer you an upgrade" calls from random companys... as early as 3 weeks after owning the phone. Someone clearly sold my details on to these companys - this eventually got sorted after i got quite stroppy on email about changing my number which they did. After this change, ive had billing problems online, or rather the fact i cant see my bills...

For some reason they started sending me paper statements and then decided to say if i dont switch to online, they would charge me! I didnt request them in the first place, so i go online to switch back over, and their website wont let me (errors displayed). I have to contact them again to get this sorted, and now for the past few months ive not been able to see any bills online... so again, they decide to send me another paper statement after i complain... I dont want a paper statement, this isnt 1994 lol!

Ive got about 6 months left on my contract, im pretty convinced im just gonna leave them soon, possibly pay the cancellation fee, and go with someone else. I was with 3 for years and didnt have one problem... before that 02 and the same, no problems... maybe they are all bad now or im just getting grumpy in my old age lol, who knows!

"What the hell is that?" "I don't know, but if cats could sing... they'd hate it too"

Vodafone proved to be the worst company to deal with. PLEASE AVOID.

I was canceling my monthly sim only contract with them and retentions phoned me to offer me a deal. I was offered 600 minutes + unlimited texts +first free month of internet + 10 MMSs for £9.99 which I thought was quite a good price. So I said I will think about it. Just checking my account on the vodafone website shows that I am now on a contract of £30!!!! Which would've been ok if I was not on almost the same tariff for £20 initially!!!

So I was on a sim only, monthly contract with 600 min + unlimited texts. for £20.

And through the "Retentions" department I was put on the same deal plus internet "only one month free which is available through the website" and 10 MMSs for £30!

Is their job to retain the customer or to drive them away?

I was put on that contract without even agreeing to it. All I said was "I'll think about it".

Now I am tied to a 12 month contract on £30 a month. I didnt even get a phone with this. Its just 600 minutes and unlimited texts!!!

I really liked Vodafone, I think I will be stopping the DD. Moving to O2 it seems.

You need to post these issues up on their eforum website here. Whilst there are some Vodafone reps that trawl through these threads, they seem to be a bit more active on their eforum site, and any bad publicity on their own forum website will be bad for them if they don't deal with it promptly and address your issue.

Just recieved new nokia 5800 which was agreed yesterday by retention dept.
Meant to be £10 per month for 24 months with 150 minutes and 500 text with 3 months free internet thrown in.

However new handset just arrived and no contract details just despatch note , called vodafone and was told contract was just under £16 per month for 24 months so i will be sending handset back once pre-paid envelope arrives shortly.

Been with vodafone and quite happy as i have 2 vodafones and oh has 1 so they will be losing 3 contracts after this , people should be sacked for this as it nothing short of fraud.
  • have been with Vodafone 18 months. I have been trying to transfer ownership to my Ltd Company for three months. After no response or acknowledgement to my last request, I rang customer services. I was told my request had been declined (no one had told me), but they could tell me why.

I have no option but to move to another provider. I complained vie the web site and sent an email to the CEO - no response from either.

This is poor Vodafone. Not only have you lost my business but I will be transferring my wife's account as well.

Can anyone advise how I get a complaint through?

    Thanks

I have the same concern. I took out a new 12 month sim only contract and pac'ed my number over from '3'. It was done via Quidco ( £120 ) and their web form/application specifically has a section asking if you want to transfer an existing number - asking for number & pac code. Sim arrives and subsequently paperwork and I've been allocated a new number. I call Vodafone ( it takes 3 hours - I'm transferred 18 times ! ) and I'm told there is a 'fault' on their web application and pac'ed numbers are being 'unclaimed' ie disregarded - apparently Vodafone are aware of this problem. Anyway, the lady I finially spoke to understood and manually sorted the pac'ed number over. I asked about the billing period but was assured it would only be from the number transfer date. No ! received first bill, and billing period from web application date, 14 days earlier. So rang again and have been told this will be corrected before first direct debit taken.

So that's two 'manual' interventions by Vodafone, both because of their !!!!-ups. The transaction didn't track on Quidco so I've raised an enquiry which is 'pending'. I suspect I may not get the £120 cashback. I appreciate it isn't guaranteed - but if the criteria is that the transaction has to be completed wholly online (via Quidco) and the Vodafone online system is incapable of accepting an order wholly online ( number/pac black hole ) then Vodafone's failures are costing me money.

I'd appreciate the Vodafone rep's comments on whether the £120 cashback will be approved/paid, and if not, whether Vodafone will cover this cashback or simply 'wash their hands'.

    Hi Somerset,

Have Quidco come back to you about this?

    What was the outcome?

    Thanks,

Just a warning on the Vodafone website. I ordered a new deal for my wife (in my name) Sony W595 500 texts 100 minutes 24 month contract £10 a month. £90 quidco = 6.25 a month and a £50 Last minute voucher. Good deal, and Vodafone gets better reception in our house than O2 which she still is on.

So I put through the order entered PAC code, phone arrived, number not transferred. Trying to get a response from customer services is an absolute nightmare. First email to them I think must have been answered by a contact centre in India by someone who could not understand English.

Eventually after having spent over an hour on the phone to them in two separate calls, having to return the phone for a new contract.

Re-ordered noticed this time that when I entered the code for the Last Minute voucher it wiped the PAC code. This was off the top of the screen. That is what must have happened last time. I entered it again but I was not convinced they received it.

So I phoned today to check that they had got my PAC code (having also emailed it just in case.) and this time they cannot transfer the PAC code, fault on their system, however they have stated that this time they will allow a transfer of the number after it has been set up. So I am forced by Vodafone to go through all this hassle for their error, but the operator said they would give me a £10 credit on my bill to cover sending the phone back. When they could have sorted it out for me anyway. However real hassle is I have to do this in the hours of 9-5 when the online team works.

My worry, will I still get my Quidco? My suspicion is that because I am going to have to chase this, the answer to that is going to be no. The manual intervention required will over ride the referral and I will not get the money. If that is the case I will be complaining to vodafone that their error has cost me money.

What really depresses me is that I hold Vodafone shares, so I would like them as a company to prosper, but after having to speak to 7 different people just to be told I had to return my phone because they had messed up does not give me much hope.

    Hi EdCov,

There is a Quidco representative on MSE who may be able to look into this for you.

I'd recommend sending them PM asking if they're able to help you further.

Thanks and let us know how you get on.
