Just about to hang out the washing - dishwasher has been on and parcel for DD with the university textbook she needs has arrived.
May go to Newcastle and deliver it in person on Wednesday.

Will put chicken pieces in slow cooker and then use it later for a pasta dish.

    Hugs to everybody.

    Hi everyone,

Yesterday went downhill. I managed to submit my college assignment and we took the dog for a walk. Then felt ropey and went to bed for a couple of hours. Got up for the meal (duck with salad) and then started falling asleep watching the antiques road show so I went to bed at 7.30. Have had a headache all night which is still there and am feeling fragile. I hope my boss doesn't give me a hard time today. And I've got to come back at 7.30 tonight for a meeting:( .

OH cleared out a lot of old cds (computer rather than music) and other things from the study and he did the ironing:T .

Not much OS tonight as I'll only be at home for about an hour.

  • So many people getting busy! Okay - Stardrops at the ready I'm going to blitz the house before this sniffle turns into a cold.

so my list now for today will be:

*Make up soap powder mix - then get stuck into washing

    * Do Ironing- while watching Anthea's 'Perfect housewives' on dvd :D

    * Fish out overdue library book from DS1 bedroom.

    * Get batch cooking meat and buns done.

    * Stardrops bathroom/kitchen and flip duster round bedrooms.

    THEN

Snuggle up on the sofa with my knitting until DS1 needs picking up from work.

    Phew!

First time posting in this thread, so apologies for the boringness of my life, lol.

Have a whole day to myself today, DD1 finishes school at 3.15 and DD2 in nursery till after then. Hubby at college all day till 9.30 tonight, so nice and peaceful household.

However I have 2 essays to write and not a lot of inspiration! Was supposed to be working a night shift last night but got sent home at 1am as I wasn't too well, so I've really gained an extra morning to get this work done (should have been sleeping) Still feel rough though and the cold makes me just want to go back to bed. HUMPH what a grump!

Think I will curry some chicken in the SC today, the smell in the house will make me feel all warm inside and cheer me up and if I do get cracking with these assignments it means I'll have some me time tonight :j :j Must look for the silver lining in every cloud.
  • Hi all

Good luck to those with interviews and assignments to complete.

The rain has stopped and the sun has come out, if it stays that way I may get the leaves raked up.

OH still feeling poorly and has taken the day off. He is currently tucked up in bed so I am trying not to make much noise, great excuse not to do the hoovering.

So far have cleaned the bathroom and kitchen, I have also got the grill pan and oven trays soaking in hot water and washing powder to see if I can shift some of the baked on marks.

For lunch we will have HM soup and bread. I am going out this evening for the first time in ages with a few friends, even though we all live local we haven't got together for a good chat so I am looking forward to that.

    Have a good day.
  • morning everyone.

Feeling a little grotty. Got up early yesterday with baby as DH had worked through the night, but then stopped up late to watch lord of the rings. Baby had a bottle of formula again. I might keep giving him the one on an evening as it made feeding through the day easier, and meant he slept from 10:30 to 4. I just wish i went to bed when he did.

I ummed and ahhed this morning about stopping up and doing some ironing. The bed won as i was feeling cold, and i was only there long enough to drop off and now feel very tired. Baby grizzled until i had got ready and is now asleep again. Typical.;)

I have grand plans for today for flyladying to keep on top of what got done at the weekend. My plans are highly flexible to cope with unexpected grizzling, or if my sisters are visiting again today. I hope they are as i got loads done while they were chatting to me last week.

Hope those of you feeling grotty feel a bit better later. Hugs to everyone.

    Morning everyone.
Congrats on all the new babies!
I Have been finishing off the present acquiring this week.
2 pairs of PJ's for the kids as we now have a Primark in town .
I had to take poor old pusca to the vet on Friday as he couldn't put his front paw down, the vet thought it was probably a bite,
Puss is on tablets for 5 days but it looks as if it is much better already.
He had to spend all morning in his box though as it takes 2 to get him in and OH had to go to work .The vets was for 12 o'clock.
Ofcourse the vet got him back in the box single handed.
Then Friday afternoon I had to take DS to the doctor as he unknowingly broke his finger at Karate last month
and had it xrayed to see why it was a bit achey on thursday.
The doc gave him some excercises to do as it is already healed (straight luckily).
We were quite OS for our meals on Sunday.
Chicken soup from Saturdays cooked chicken, with the stock from the bones and some veg.
Hunks of bread from the ends of loaf I put in the freezer.
Tea was boiled eggs, new bread(HM), reduced sausage rolls and cheese.Apples or Flapjack(HM) for after.
My shopping bill this weekend was £11.22 but I got 3 bags of mushrooms for free as they wouldnt scan.
That's the lowest this whole year I think.
Ive made 3 jars of Mayonaise this morning and its going to be Garibaldi making this afternoon as everyone likes them.
Oh well back to the old Grindstone
    Culpepper.
