Marks and Spencer - Another waste of time

Well I have emailed the chief exec with my complaint.

I am fuming. I wasted an hour ordering items on Xmas Eve (and even stopped myself buying them in the shops own sale) and my order is still not dispatched.

I called up to enquire and I have been the items are out of stock. Some of the items were in stock yesterday so I find it amazing that they have sold what would have been allocated to me to complete other orders.

I find M&S onlien an absolute disgrace. With all the modern technology in stock control, the larges high street retailer does nothing by co ck up orders year after year. This has happened on previous years and I would hjave thought they would have learned from it.

  • Yeah, that's terrible. A lot of companies seem to be slack on shipping things out recently, I ordered something from Amazon a few days ago and it still hasn't even been dispatched yet. "Adverse weather conditions" would no doubt be their excuse.

Can I ask what his email address is - I can't find it. (Happy for you to PM me!)

Had an item missing from my order - not marked as being dispatched but I was charged for it. Phoned them up & they need to send out a cheque!!!!!!!!! the 'system' won't allow them to do online. Their fault - my inconvenience.

This is not just any refund system...... this is an M&S refund system.......
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Just noticed I have been overcharged on my order. They took the full amount of money and then a couple days later decided an item was out of stock. This item was left in on the delivery note as a 0 delivered but the price was still included in the delivery note total. :(

Even the email confirming the out of stock item said...DONT WORRY, YOU HAVE NOT BEEN CHARGED FOR THIS. Thats not just any little porky! Thats an M&S one.

Update: have just received a refund today, so no need to ring.

I too have had problems with their sale....ordered at 11pm on xmas eve, and again on xmas day (not being sad, daughter's leggings didn't fit so ordered some.) Leggings parcel came days ago but other parcel STILL not all turned up. 2 packages turned up yesterday..wrapping paper (packed alone in a box 4 foot by 2 foot) and 2 cushions but all my sale clothes are still in the system..and they keep e mailing to say they have run out of an item so I can't have it any more! I to am FUMING. Complained over phone and e mail , got a mis spelt reply which just said they DO process orders in the order time wise they are received. I think NOT..24 Dec is BEFORE 25 Dec on my calender!

I stopped buying from their sale a couple of years ago when they had the same problems. Their IT system is clearly completely unsuitable for the job and a complete embarassment to what should be one of Britain's flagship firms.
  • I have had a lot of problems with M&S online this year, items going OOS, delivery problems etc. so I have given up with them. Anything ordered is just a lottery whether it will arrive, so I will stick to instore from now on.
  • The thing with sticking to 'in store' is that it all comes from the same place!! When it is ordered from instore the computers are all linked to the same as you or I 'at home'. From your point of view then, if it all goes wrong you can then berate the poor girl at the desk to her face. And its not her fault. Keep writing to the top and then maybe in five years time it will all get sorted. Its always the foot soldiers who get it in the neck so keep hammering away to the top. Chaps name is Marc Bolan but dont know his email address.

Oh you mean the singer chap who had long hair and died in a car crash in the seventies - no offence. No this one is Dutch and has short short hair and a big knot in his tie and is earning squillions more than the singer and he was rich in his day!!!!!!
  • Tyroscorus Rex or something I recall - soz for spelling error - is that right!!
