Hope everyone that is suffering with winter illnesses are on the mend.

Unfortunately I was a worker today again, but at least it didn't drag as much as it did yesterday. Mrs Dodgy Knee had a hospital appointment so the grandparents were looking after the terrors, so they were spoilt rotten.

I weighed my self this morning much to the disgust of the bathroom scales. Losing weight this year is definitely going to be a priority followed by saving.

A first for me today. I had some of last nights bolognaise on a baked potato for lunch. I usually buy something so this would have saved me about 3 quid.

The new year plans are well underway now. So hopefully I will hit the ground running on the 1st.

    Cheers

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
  • Evening all,

Haven't been on much in the last few days, as have been busy spending time with the OH. If he goes again on the 12th Jan, I'll have spent nearly 4 weeks with him - something we've not done for a few years!

Had a brilliant day today as I got my birthday present early - my first shooting lesson :D It was amazing and I loved every minute of it. It was clay pigeon shooting and the first time I've every shot anything. I was shaking after the first five shots as adrenaline had kicked in, and much to my surprise, I hit quite a lot of the clays!! :o

My next lesson is on Monday, and I'm hoping to do one on Tuesday as that's my birthday, but we'll see how I feel. My shoulder is really sore from the recoil of the gun, and I know I wasn't holding it quite right on the last 2 shots, so it hit my shoulder more than it should.

Apart from that, OH then took me shopping and bought me a huge bottle of perfume which I've wanted for ages. I'm not cynical, but I'm getting the feeling that some of this is down to guilt for not being around much.... Neverthelss, today has probably been the best day I've had all year, and it's got me interested in a new (albeit expensive) hobby which appeals to my sense of perfection :rotfl:

We've had tuna melt wedges (all HM) for dinner, washed down with some 'hibiscus pink fizz' from Sainsbury's, and are now watching carp on the TV. The house is marginally tidy, and the only real thing being done is the DW going on twice a day

Hope everyone is as well as can be, and hugs to those who need them.

    T xx

Evening all :) Hope you've all had a good day

Dodgyknee - welcome to OS
    NPM - ((hug)) for you

Went to work, came home early as it was only me in, did laundry, changed linen, did shopping, packaged up some chocolate to post to a friend in the US, finished wedding invites.

Not feeling too bright so not done a great deal really. cel x
