Got a busy few days, collecting DS from his GFs house then taking him to work later before going to work myself.
Need to do a shoping list for tomorrow too, not getting much as like everyone else we need to use all the odds and ends up.

    Afternoon all

Sorry to be so infrequent, and not really doing much, but seems too busy with 4 in the house, plus had two sets of friends visiting us yesterday.

DS cooked for us all last night, he enjoys it provided I stay out of the kitchen, a real chore you can imagine.

Candygirl (((hugs))) not sure how you could keep quiet or keep from injuring him if and when you see him, not sure I could.

Very grey and damp here, will be glad to see a little brightness again, seems so dark in the daytime.

Still using leftovers up, and will probably low carb soon, as it seems the only thing which works for me.

Nothing much else to report got a load of washing done yesterday, will leave everything else until they go at lunchtime tomorrow.

Take care all and (((hugs))) where needed and :hello: and welcome to all newbies/lurkers.

  • Just came on for a rant:mad: Cannot cope with much more of DS and his anger and hideous behaviour. The whole house is on eggshells all the time terrified of setting him off on one:o. We are screamed and shouted at and hit several times a day and he has just pulled bannister off stairs in a meltdown:eek:
I just dont know what to do anymore. I cant get my head around what sets the meltdowns off or how to avoid them.
He is being very controlling at the mo....I know it is just his autism and he is struggling to gain control of his life with all the Xmas changes etc but am fed up of it.
He is starting with the lights again constantly flicking them on and off and flapping etc and then the bloomin tourettes noises as well:o
I must sound like such a carp mum moaning about him when it is something he cant help:cry:

NPM - Please don't be too hard on yourself, changes in routine as you know can have a terrible effect on children with autism. You might not be able to work out what is causing the meltdowns. A child I have the pleasure of working with, and it is a pleasure as well as a challenge, went into meltdown when his mum opened the seafood starter on christmas day, he couldn't cope with the smell and that was it for the rest of christmas complete meltdown. Even with all evidence removed he could still smell it. Do you use visual timetables at home? so he has some idea about what is going to happen they can be useful. If I can be of any help please let me know, just want you to know I do have some idea what you are going through and want to send you a big ((((hug)))))
