Morning All
Welcome saltandpepper :santa2:
We are tightening our belts this year as well - I don't trust this Government and dread what they will do next. They seem to be living in dolly dreamland and trying to change everything all at once so it is their ideal world - just goes to show that they have never had to struggle financially
Freezers are full and so are the cupboards:cool: so I am meal planning like crazy to see how long it will last.
MIL and FIL coming on New Years day so I will keep the tree up until then and it can all come down on the 2nd.
NPM my DH is a snorer too and I have lost count of how many nights I tried to feed him a giant marshmallow;):D
I sleep downstairs now because of my legs so it is absolute bliss - I still hear him some nights though:(
Well I must get on and get some washing done.
Have good days all ((((((((Hugs)))))) to all the poorlies xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Welcome saltandpepper - we are a friendly, if slightly mad bunch
:rotfl:
Just back from the gymglad I went today as they are closed for next 3 days for New Year. Think I'll go look at the exercise DVD's today too as I don't wanna stop the momentum now.
Forgot to say early, OS wise - WM went on before I went to gym with bedding so need to put this on airer. I have more loads to go in but nothing important so think I'll put them on tonight or tomorrow. My flat is so warm, stuff is drying overnight! I've even turned off one of the storage heaters, so only have one on now. DW will go on after I've had lunch (jacket spud and beans I think). And I'm taking the recycling to the tip too before Tesco.
Off for a shower now

Ha thanks for the welcome and you too butterfly brain. I think i shall fit in nicely as i currently have Ds2 running around the house shrieking like a monkey, roll on Tuesday when it's school again! Although he hasn't been bad, he is autistic and is 10 yrs old and a gaming geek so christmas does put him out of sync0 -
Good Morning.
Welcome to those who lurk and those who are new to posting xx
Oh dear people sound like they are really struggling today. Hugs to you all.
Im just the same as ever - a very pathetic specimen of human kind. Still I give thanks that I'm at home. Maybe because I missed seeing my christmas tree for a week whilst in hospital, but I'm still loving mine and am dreading taking it down. Still we have a plan and down it will come next monday before everyone returns to work and school.
My Ds1 has worked lots of overtime over the holidays. He needs to as he has accrued a lot of debt - which is worrying the life out of me. He is working this pm but needs to catch the bus as Kids Dad has gone to Costco with DS2 to stock up. I have shouted him three times:mad::mad::mad:
So Boys have been doing the dusting, vaccing, floors and bins as dear cleaner is on holiday. I can't wait for her to start back as its such a weight off my mind. The WM is on as usual. Hugs xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Afternoon All.
Still trying to shift this cough. But nearly there.
need to clean the pets out today, need more sawdust, so will go to the pet shop later, I never realised how much personality rabbits have. She's the most hilarious creature ever. I will miss having her in the living room when the weather warms up, but she'll enjoy the garden I'm sure.
Doing a curry tonight and need to start thinking about making stuff for tomorrow, we have 1 friend over but him and OH eat for England, so thinking nibbly foods and a pizza will sort them out.
We've spent the last 4 NYE's in just us three drinking, having some food and watching music telly. I love it.

Grrrr  my friend from Bristol has cancelled dinner tonight.....again....Totally not her fault as both her and husband have the flu, but she always cancels at last minute! This is the 5th meal she has cancelled (not really her fault - work/weather/xmas do's/illness etc) in 2months. I was really looking forward to going and catching up. 2 of the other girls are still up for going but I see them twice a week and, to be honest, I could do without spending £30 (plus the petrol) for no particular reason.
Rant over.

Good Afternoon
Hope everyone is well. Tree is now down and recycled. Also took the cards down and some have been remade into gift tags for next year. I ordered some wrapping paper from M&S (sale) so have colour coordinated the tags. After the weather/illness this year I fully intend to have most of my gift buying done by the end of October.
Still coughing here thankfully the children havent got it, just me and OH.
Spag bol for tea plus got some part baked bread that needs eating up, also got some chocolate fudge cake in freezer if anyone wants pudding.
Have a good afternoon everyone.
