Value shower gel down to 10p in Sainsburys and tesco, any good??

I went back to my local sainsburys again last nite to stock up. The sixteen bottles I bought a few days ago had not been replaced.

I drove to another branch. When I got there all the basic shower gel had gone. maybe price drop is in relation to to tesco's 10p price, a end of the line product, or could it be that sainsburys like us soooooooooooooooooo much, the commpany wants us clean for 2K11.

From what I remember the Sainsburys one is better than Tesco's. I think I bought it when it was about 13p but when it went up in price, I went back to Basic soap as I'd stopped buying both shower gel and soap anyway.

We now use either basic hand wash or creme bath (whichever is cheapest at the time) as hand wash in ceramic pump bottles at the side of the sinks.

Supermarkets are particularly hot on tracking the prices of EPPs (entry price products) amongst their competitors, so I'd usually expect one to follow the other, very quickly, when a non-promotional price drop is made.

It'd be a shame if they discontinue these lines so hopefully the price decrease is just a regular "rollback".

I think most money savers seem to like the sainsburys one, as it is slightly sented, but i would not be surprise if it is all from the same company, just package differently how are you finding the asda brand?

I love the asda one...pretty sure the handwash the same product in a pump... eitherway ace.. I love the smell of it... is green...

Nice and fresh , a lot of smells make me queasy but its ace! Get 2 bottles a month..big spender

I really hope these stay the same prices in 2K11, but with the VAT increase, we might see a penny or two added still, what ever brand we use, Sainsburys, Tesco or Asda, its still good value for money
