Value shower gel down to 10p in Sainsburys and tesco, any good??

we like the fragrance of sainsburys shower gel stocked up when it was originally 10p so havent had to buy at its price hike of 30p
if you decant it into a pump dispenser type bottle it doesnt all "gloop" out in a dollop

not keen on the smell of tesco value smells a bit like toilet cleaner to me

i sgree about the aldi lacura range very expensive feel to it and cheaper than supermarket own brand but as you say dearer than the value range

I use tesco value shower gel. Quite happy with it, its only 10p so I don't expect it to be compared to "proper" brands.

Maybe its a bloke product?

I see from most moneysavers on here, the tesco value shower gel is not as good as the sainsburys basic shower gel. I went to my local sainsburys and ended up buying all there basic shower gel. They had 16 bottles on display, so I purchased the lot £1.60, I think I have a years supply I think there will be alot of smelly/dirty people in my area today:)

I went into Asda this afternoon, there basic shower gel is 8p, cant belive they sell it so cheap, they cant make much profit from that, but good for us moneysavers.

I had just over £6.00 on boots points on my loyalty card, decided i wanted to cash in before the vat increase, guess what I bought?????? yep, 13 bottles of oscen blue (value shower gel - value).

I also received a £5.00 voucher from my chemist recently in the post. They were moving addrress, went to the new store, lovely layout, did not know what to get, so exchanged my voucher for 5 bottles of Niva shower gel,

Ma went to a recent school fate, to support my granson. She purchased alot of lucky dip tickets, she won shower gel, and guess who she them to

I really do think I have stocked up for the entire year

hmmm I have about £15 to spend on my boots card, maybe I should stock up a little on some of their value wash stuff too before the vat increase...hmm..thanks for the idea!

no worries, they cost 49p each or 59p for the creme type, pop down there

If you mean how long ago did the price drop, then I don't know exactly when but it can't be very long. Last time I checked (about a month ago?) it was 30p in my local store. Didn't even know it was back down to 10p until I saw your thread, so thanks!

My OH prefers the smell of the Tescos one, so maybe it is more for men.

For 10p I also think it's great and don't expect anything fancy, but I just think the Sainsbury's one is better.
