  • I listed x 17 items (inc some relists) - was a little annoyed though as I have opened a no payment case against someone from last Sunday and cant close it yet, so couldnt relist those 5 items. Looking forward to blacklisting her from bidding on my listings!!
Well done everyone! Am hoping for some cash into my bank account next week!
  • I listed 27 quite a few relists but a few new ones too, will be doing some 99p auctions this week.

  • Just a quickie - Sophiasmum - when you're pretty certain that someone won't pay for an item(s) and that you need to wait for it to close I would just go ahead and relist it as a new ad. That's what I did for my non-payer last time. I knew that she wouldn't pay and so relisted it and had sold it 2 days after the case was closed. I'd just make sure that the auction ends after the case will close. That way you can make use of a FLW.

    All the best,

  • Thanks slipper75 - I did consider that but knowing my luck she will end up paying! Its a strange one - she is an overseas buyer but has loads of excellent feedback and all for buying the same type of things as I am selling. Have sent messages and no communication at all. It is for £100 total - has 2 days left to pay until I can close the case!
  • well my non payer paid up this evening! Cant believe it. I get paid tomorrow so perhaps they do too - its the lack of communication that has annoyed me more than anything. Got an awful feeling that that they are watching some other items I listed yesterday... as the watch count went up around the time they paid...

2 NPBs this week:mad: and one is a bidder using a second account to buy stuff they didnt pay for 2 weeks ago which I had relisted - they didnt pay up then and Ebay issued a 'strike' against that account which I then blocked and lo and behold they have resurrected a long time dormant account..................well this time I am not waiting and I will put FB on BEFORE I close the case:mad::mad:

Sometimes there are delays on things appearing like watch counts, f/b etc etc so I really dont take much notice of them HOWEVER I now have my own personal policy and that is it to block any bidder who doesnt pay or communicate within 24 hours and definitely any who dont pay at all.......too many taking the p*ss quite frankly

  • I like your policy Igomogam. Well I sent the items she purchased - but will have a shock if she tries to bid on any of my items this weekend as she is well and truly blocked!!
  • well how is everyone getting on?
I had a few items go missing that were posted outside of UK, so from now on, my listings are UK only. Cant afford for that to happen!!

4 of my items are selling (total around £50)
Still 2 or 3 days to go on most of them.

We have obviously been using our credit card a bit more than we should have & we have hit the limit.
Going to do a balance transfer & aim to have the £3k cleared within 12 months. So annoyed that we let it happen - dont know how but its done now!!
So any ebay money will go to that fund along with anything we have left over in our joint account.
We were hoping to put in a new kitchen after xmas with our wedding money, but I think we will hold fire & try to get a bigger emergency money fund on the go!

    There is always something!!
Sorry just read that & it is a bit of a rant  but I just needed to get it off my chest! phew!!
  • Hello,

I'm quite new so I hope it's ok to post on this thread?

I'm trying to make as much money as I can selling the heaps and heaps of clutter in my house!

Lots of clothes, shoes, baby clothes, baby items, DVDs, jewellery making stuff, toys etc.

In the past I have made the most money selling plus sized clothes, some of them have sold for more than I paid for them. So fingers crossed.

This will contribute to the £10 a day in October challenge I've just joined, which is to pay for Christmas and DD's birthday which falls around the same time.

I have already picked up a few tips from this thread, but have a question that maybe someone can help with please?

My Ebay account is a business one, because a few years ago I had a small business selling crafts that I made. Is it ok for me to keep using it for selling my stuff?

Is it preferable to have a business account over a personal one? Are there any drawbacks?

Thanks in advance for any advice :)
