Just the usual restrictions by the looks of it (eg Cars, and can't use listing tools like Turbo lister etc)

Business Sellers are not eligible to participate in this promotion.
PowerSellers are not eligible to participate in this promotion.
Sellers whose accounts do not meet eBay's minimum seller performance standards are not eligible to participate in this promotion. Please sign in to My eBay and view your seller dashboard to verify whether your account is currently meeting the standards. If you’ve registered after 15th March 2011 or have not listed any items for a while you may have a restricted selling allowance of a maximum of 10 items per month, which may be increased. Additional verification may be required. Please click here to find out more.

Auction-style listings with a starting price of between £0.01 and £0.99 will be excluded from the promotion, and will instead count towards your 100 free new listings/month, in accordance with the eBay Fees policy. Please see “Further Information” below for more details.

Any item listed during the promotional period but scheduled to start after the promotional period does NOT qualify for the promotion.
Any items listed which do not comply with eBay's Listing Policies or Prohibited and Restricted Items Policies.
Items which are listed with a Reserve Price are excluded from this promotion.
Only the basic eBay Insertion Fee will be reduced to 0 pence (£0.00). All other eBay selling fees will still apply, including but not limited to Final Value Fees, optional Reserve Price Fees and all Listing Upgrade Fees such as "Gallery Plus" or "Subtitle"; See the full details about eBay fees.
All items listed with professional tools, such as (but not limited to)"Turbo Lister" and "Selling Manager Pro" are excluded from this promotion.
Members listing using the Auction-with-Buy It Now format will still be charged the Listing Upgrade Fee for Buy It Now.
  • nightmare! Iam aware from 6th sept so cant risk listing anything as I cant post immediately or respond to questions!!
I might add a note to my listings to say Im on holidays, as I dont think you can add actual 'seller is away until 18th Sept' type thing as a private seller!
    Good luck to everyone :-)

Thanks for that Aesop - just had a surreal live chat with Eb*Y customer support who claimed there was no such such promotion so I provided them with the link and back came ( eventually) some gobbledegook about announcements and emails...............Oh and a thankyou for providing them with the information !!!!!!! Also some interesting theories on Eb*y boards about why such a promotion being trialled!

Hello everyone! :wave:I'm well, slipper, Thanks! apart from a sore throat and starting to get a runny nose _pale_ :(
Just been to the PO and posted 5 x 99p items I've sold the other day. I have quite a few re-list and going through a bag of dd's clothes being listed as bundles.
9 FLD's  Didn't get an email too. Wonder if am eligible? will have to see on Sat. if I get charged.
  • Hi everyone

I've been selling on ebay in earnest since Feb but never listed any big and bulky items. Just wondered if anyone had any useful tips for listing 'collection only' items to try to avoid no-shows etc

    Thanks

    :)

Got an email this morning about the 9 FLD's . I hope I can find the energy to list.
Hi Littlestflower, I find listing collection only items are the easiest. Haven't had a no show yet, people who bid really want the item. I make it clear in my listing that it's only for collection. Be flexible on pick up times/days or offer to leave the item somewhere safe for them to grab and go. I have more trouble offering items in my local freegle. Goodluck!

  • How did all last weekends free listings going? I had quite a few end tonight - sold about 8 items. Didnt too badly in the end as 2 items I put up as a start price of £1.50, both ended up selling for £33!! So now impatiently waiting for payments to roll in.
Got about 10 listings ending tomorrow - 3 have bids ATM.
Ive done all my relists today and added 8 items. Going to try and add a few every evening....Make the most of it!
Hope you feeling better Merry Mary. I had a horrible cold last week - awful, no energy.
