  • Well done Listerbelle! Good news - inspires for the next week!
  • Well done on your sales Listerbelle and Sophiasmum!!!

I have a question for those of you who have had non payments. My most expensive item was bought by someone with only 11 feedback. Once purchased she started asking me all kinds of questions about the item - most of which were answered on the listing itself. She's now said that she won't pay for it as it was not well described. (There's actually very little I could have added to the description.)

What do you guys normally do? Do you just cancel the transaction or do you open an unpaid item case? The last time I opened up an unpaid item case the other person never got a black mark against them (and i checked 4 weeks later). It seems ridiculous that Ebay always says that agreeing to purchase is a legal contract but so many flake out. Anyways, your thoughts/ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks and good luck for all the sales,
    Slipper

  • So annoying Slipper75. I had similar with pair of clarkes shoes I was selling - buyer didnt want to pay for them (after winning them) because her daughters feet had grown! I ended up doing a mutual cancellation to get my fees back - but it took the buyer a week to bother confirming the cancellation leaving me to get more and more annoyed. Not sure whether they can leave you feedback if you do a non paying thingy? If they can - you dont want them putting anything about the description etc...
  • hey Sophiasmum- yes, I don't know if they can leave feedback if I do a non-payment thingy though I wouldnt think so. That's why I do think that I will continue with it. It wouldn;t make sense for Ebay to allow customers who don't pay to rate you when they haven't received anything. However, I do know that they can leave feedback if you cancel the sale as I've had nice feedback before from someone who hadnt realized until after they bid that my carrycot wouldn't fit their pram.

I believe they cant - but if they decide to pay up after you have made a NPB claim then they can - well in my experience

  • What sort of problems?

I tried to withdraw £26 today but on the next screen it said it would be held for 24 hour review, so I went back and changed the amount to £30 and it said it would be in my account within two hours and two hours later it was in my account.

Twice I have tired to withdraw £90 and twice its 'been held for review' and then returned. I emailed but have had no answer. There is a thread on forum on paypal site with some very hacked off people getting the same problem. I have just tried to transfer £120 so we will see if that make s difference:eek:

  • Wow nice thread, hello everyone.

I have been selling for over 2 years now on ebay, had a 6 month break from selling in december to around june as my laptop screen cracked . However i just recently started selling using my phone takes a bit longer but still gets the job done.

I have made over 2500 pounds in 2 years purely from household items etc, also I buy and re-sell from ebay not in bulk though, although its my desire to deal with a few wholesalers i know in the future. Some good tips on this thread thank you.
