Well done Listerbelle that is ebay how I used to remember it *sigh*0

Becks I think it is a buyer's market
and they are only after certain things.....
someone on another thread has bids upto £17 for 3 bras (worn ones)
I think it depends on what you are selling and what people want. We need an app that tells us what sells well.
Sold another item tonight for undervalued postagethat's 2 tomorrow that I will probably lose money on due to postage
have put some 99p items up and made sure postage was high enough!0 -
Listerbelle - that is excellent! I just seem to make £2 on untagged items
Becks81, you are right, ebay has really changed, I remember the early days when it was new and it was much more fun then. Nowadays, everyone waits until the last minute to bid, so the fun (and lucrative) bidding war just doesn't materialise.
Shame, Aesop, that is a real pain. I hope you have allowed extra postage if the items finish after the price increases?
Sophiasmum - did you resolve the issue with the parcel mix up?
Well, I finished up with 9 items sold at a grand total of £18, they are all packed up and ready to post although only 3 have paid so far.
So now I have no items listed at all and I feel quite bereft, but it is sensible as my next couple of weekends are going to be very busy.
I will need to get back into it asap, though as I have tons of "treasures" still to clear out and my bank balance needs a boost as well.31.5/1000 -
Hi all, can I join in this thread?
I need to get moving with ebay as need to declutter majorly for a huge change in our lives next year.
Sold one thing yesterday, listed another 7 and relisted 2. Felt like hard work but I know small and often (with maybe a break every so often too) is the best way for me.
Realised the postal prices change next week too so have gone back and updated prices, better for some which was a surprise, but not for bulky light items.
Good luck all!Debts - [STRIKE]£9925.64[/STRIKE] £8841.88 :T Aiming to get below £9k by the end of Oct.:D:D November aim - sub £7.5k!

Hi Kbarty. Good luck with the decluttering, it's addictive! I've been going for about 4 months now, and I'm not sure I can see much difference in my house, but my bank balance is looking a bit healthier
I have another question for us ebayers (sorry to keep picking your brains). I'm going on holiday for 10 days later this week. All my auctions have finished, and I'm packing up the stuff to send before I go. My problem is that I have some BINs still going.
I know you can set 'holiday dates' in ebay, but do people really pay attention to those? If they buy something while I'm gone, and I can't post it for over a week, are they able to leave bad feedback or is there something to stop them if I've set my holiday dates?
The only alternative I can think of is to end all my BIN listings (15 in total), and just accept the loss of the BIN fees.Mortgage when started: £330,995

Hello all - thanks for asking about my incorrect posting! Have been away for a long weekend - but am happy to say that the problem was rectified on Friday
Luckily the buyer who had received the incorrect item was lovely - posted it on for me. He has even left me excellent feedback! Came back about 2 hours ago - have already checked ebay as I did have some items end last night so have been busy doing the admin for those (even before unpacking!) Will have to visit the post office tomorrow. Just withdrew £75 from paypal - love that feeling

Hi all,
Think it is about time I joined this thread, have been lurking for about a couple of weeks.
Short story is that I am a collector of speedway programmes from my defunct team (Wimbledon), they ran from 1928 until 2005.
Having read this thread I took the decision to start to de-clutter and start selling my collection. As a guide pre-war programmes can sell from anywhere between £15 and £75 each!
I only have a small pre-war collection (40ish) so last Thursday I placed 8 of these on eBay and one from 1946, all starting at 99p, so no listing fees.
They all finished last night, and I got the following final bids:
£8.50
£13.02
£16.76
£19.67
£20.76
£41.00
£51.87
£66.68 and
£156.99:eek:
So a grand total of £396.25 for 9 items:T
My aim is to place around 10 items on each week, more on free listing weekends.
If I carry on like this all the credit cards and loans will be paid off this year!!:rotfl:0 -

That is impressive B2BMII !!! well done!
LannieDuck, could you maybe edit your listings and put a note along the lines of 'you'll be away from this date and not to worry if you don't reply to messages. You will post their item as soon as you get back' in bold red to highlight it. Not sure about setting holidays dates. I haven't done it before so is listing a buynow. Sorry not much help:o:D
All my items will be ending tomorrow. I think I'll have a break and start relisting my unsold items on 1st of May. I will be updating my total soon which is just slightly better than last month and nowhere near my January :rotfl:still, money that I didn't have before and free from stuff that I didn't want no more:)0 -

Another one here!! I hate it
I am a perfectionist too, so if I fluff up the postcode when writing out the address labels and miss out the space I have to start all over again!!0
