Sleepless, that is amazing and LOL at your bubble-wrapped backside!

Sophiasmum, that is great news too - mine that are ending this evening are looking healthy so I am pleased I put all that effort in.

Good grief - I had better start thinking about Thursday evening's items now...

I was getting started on packaging up my stuff from the weekend to post, and the online postage site went down :( Is anyone else having trouble with it?

I've taken 6 parcels to the post office today instead, but I'd rather not have to do this for the rest (I've got another 20 or so to go...). I don't want to clog up the queue, plus I'm not convinced they always give me the cheapest prices - they charged me £4.90 for a 1.4kg parcel today... I'm pretty sure it should have been £4.40. Hopefully the online postage will come back tomorrow and I can do the rest of my parcels then. Otherwise I'll just have to bite the bullet and do the post office. Don't want to let my dispatch times slip too far.

I've got stuff on that I posted last weekend, but I think I'll have a break from posting anything this weekend. Need to get some energy back...

My most unexpected sale from this weekend, were some branded tshirts. I had 7 identical, hardly-worn ones. I was going to batch them all together for ease, but they were over 2 kg, so I split them into a set of 5 and a set of 2. The set of 5 went for about £22... and the set of 2 went for £18! I've learnt my lesson - it might take a bit more work from me, but joblots aren't always the best way to go.

I often split sets of items up, say a dinner set its doesn't take much longer to list and often brings more profit.
The way i do it is write a basic discription for the items, and just use the SELL ON LIKE THIS LISTING, which brings up the exact same listing you have just wrote out, i then just change the picture and a few key words, so for example, side plate to dinner plate ect, i also always put on these type of listings that i have more of the same or similar and will be happy to combine postage where possible. :)

Above link details the postage price increases for certain catagories to fall inline with royal mails increases on 30th april

I agree about splitting lots up, it does seem to generate more money with not much more effort.

Last night's sales were good and I have a healthy looking batch finishing tonight and tomorrow. I feel as if I LIVE in the post office! I spent my lunch hour today wheeling and dealing on Ebay, answering questions, sending out invoices and then I was in the PO. Ebay is taking over my life, hey, but it is worth it.

Decided not to load anything up this week as I have a couple of busy weekends coming up and won't have the time to put into packing up etc, but I will spend time putting stuff aside and doing some photos ready for when I am free again (after May bank holiday, I think).

Oooh, 25 watchers on one item and 20 on another that finish tomorrow - excellent!

No, not unless you take the packages to the post office. My local post office has a 'fast drop off' where you don't have to queue to get proof of postage (if you've already got the parcels stamped via online postage). But I don't normally bother unless my item is above £10 or I'm at the post office anyway. I'm willing to accept a small % of my low-value parcels going missing and needing to be refunded. So far, none have.

I seem to be packing parcels permanently (try saying that after a glass of wine!)

Sales this evening were excellent, the items being watched took off at the last minute and came in at nice totals.

I am a bit of a geek and have looked at this month's sales compared to last month's and they are definitely down, although I feel as if I am working very hard. I think it is just that I have run out of the high value items and am concentrating on the small bits and pieces now.

It feels so good to be clearing stuff as well. Taking several more carrier bags of stuff out of the house rather than in, is so cathartic! I am itching to get more sorted and uploaded after my short hiatus until mid-May.

Augh. I have sent an incorrect item to someone :( have just realised. I have emailed them and let them know and told them I will send correct item tomorrow... 1st class. Problem is the item they are going to receive has been bought by someone else! So I have asked them if I refund them the postage plus a little for inconvenience could they forward to the winning bidder...Do you think that is cheeky? I know I cant guarentee this working out - but trying for damage limitation.....
Am waiting for them to reply to my groveling email....
