If it were me, I would give her one more chance by emailing and saying if she doesn't cancel in 24hrs you will be forced to open a non-payment case.

You have given her plenty of chances by that stage and I don't think she can leave you negative feedback.

    Good luck!

Advice required! Some of you may remember I sold some Clarkes shoes and the winner of the auction mailed to say she had had her daughters feet measured and they were no longer the right size so she no longer required them! I 'spoke' with ebay and they said to open a cancellation request (to get my fees back) and to email the customer asking them to respond to the cancellation. Cancellation was basically saying that the buyer didnt want to go through with the transaction. I mailed her and she responded saying she would go along with the cancellation -but she hasnt :( its still open. Im getting more and more annoyed - do you think I should open a non payment case???? Dont want to end up with bad feedback as its on my new account but surely people shouldnt be allowed to get away with this???

If you have gone down the mutal cancellation route, then i don't think it will allow you to open a non payment case i'm afraid, i think it's one or the other. So you really should open non payment to ensure you get your fees back, and this will prevent the buyer being allowed to leave feedback too. Although the 'buyer' might not know this therefore the threat os a non payment strike might be enough to get her to do it.

Managed 8 new listings yesterday, of the 50 i'm aiming for :)

Definately think sales are slow with the weather and Easter holidays though, so just storing my listings till a free weekend. It'll be nice for one to crop up and me to have a nice number that just need uploading

Hm - Thanks everyone - I think Ill mail her and do as Frugallina suggests (even if I cant go through with it!) So annoying.

What do we think about listings ending next Sunday/Monday? I know some people will be on holiday but we could do quite well as surely there will be more people home on the PC as well! hopefully buying..... I loaded up x 12 last night and photographed another x 15 to do tonight so that I end some on the Monday evening as well.....

sophiasmum - I'm pretty sure you can close the case yourself, listing "no response from buyer" and you still get your final value fee back.

I had a buyer recently who paid for the item but not the postage, and wouldn't respond to any of my messages. In the end I refunded what he'd paid and opened a cancellation case so that I could get the FVF back. Predictably the buyer didn't respond so after 7 days I went back into it through the resolution centre and closed the case. Might be worth a look!

Similar to Frugallina however I would open the case first then email explaining that you haven't heard form her so you had no option to open a dispute - threatening to open a case may well just push her to leave you a neg - if she pays/cancels then you can close the case. This way she should not be able to leave you unfavourable f/b and if she does by getting through some hidden loop hole, then you have a case to have it removed because you have done all you can. Unfavourable f/b is NOT good and can effect your account for up to 12 months

ETA and yes Katie07 is correct - I think after 4 days you can close the case - but before you do leave her f/b - something along the lines of 'Buyer changed mind.' Then block her! You might find through her f/b she is a serial mind changer!

Yorkielass, I feel your sentiments on house selling. How are you getting on? we're finding it hard at the moment. We've dropped our price twice and have taken another agent. Had a few viewers and just this week accepted a lower offer from an investor. Not as excited as the first time cos we know anything can go wrong. Got our fingers crossed we won't be let down again. I hope your situation improves now the better weather is coming :)

We've dropped the price (now one for £25K less than we paid, but we don't care we just need to move and houses where we want to move to are affordable to us now, particularly as York council are restricting the number of student lets in an area so hopefully we'll no longer be competing with student landlords if we ever get as far as buying).

Had someone round at the weekend who loved it, they live round the corner and only put their house on the market last week, got some viewings straight away and had a panic about being homeless so wanted to see ours straight away too - don't think she understands property buying as like us was a FTB in a new build. We'll just have to see how they get on with their house and if they like anything else they're seeing this week better. Got another viewer at the weekend, will be number 12....

So March didn't happen ebay wise but even more determined that April will.

Got some quiet evenings over the next couple of weeks so hoping to have an ebay selling splurge - and keep coming on here for motivation!

We did a big clearout of rubbish and recycling and some redistribution of stuff at the weekend so now need to get on with the stuff that's worth trying to sell!

Igamogam, that sounds like a good plan to settle sophiasmum's non-paying customer, hope it gets resolved soon. Yorkielass - good luck for the house-selling and here's to a good Ebay month for you (and the rest of us)!
I intended to get some photos and listings done last night after work, but wasn't feeling too well so went to bed at 8pm:eek:!! Looks like I will have to get my act together tonight, so that I stand a chance of getting 10 listed by 9.30pm Thursday night.

Hi Gingababe, I look at my summary and you can see how many you have sold in the last 31 days. Or you can select it to show how many you have sold in a different time period, ie week, calendar month etc.

But that is TOTAL sold, I don't know how to find out how many were listed at 99p, though.
