Thanks sophies mum, we could be waiting a long time then, I only have 2 feedbacks, and been a member for about 3 weeks:(
Hey ho its all good fun.

one way to build your feedback is to buy small items from other ebayers.

Like 99p items, make sure you leave them good feedback, and they will hopefully leave you good feedback, this will then help raise your limit.
  • Hi yes I was just thinking that, thanks.

    Just discovered this on ebay

    http://wantitnow-search-desc.ebay.co.uk/ws/search/WantItNowSearch?sofocus=bs&sbrftog=1&fwts=2&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2798&sspagename=STRK%3AMESELX%3AWINSEARCH&satitle=&sacat=-1%26catref%3DC6&bs=Search+Want+It+Now&fts=2&sargn=-1%26saslc%3D3

worth having a look if you have anything in stock.

someone wants a CD made for them, they have listed the songs they want.

someone else wants 25 march sunday mirror... if anyone still has it.

I quite often check want it now in the categories Ive got loads of stuff in and have sold a few items by using it :) def worth a look. Its not easy to find though when your on the ebay site - I always have to go via the help options!

Help! I don't understand why people from countries that I have not excluded can't bid on my items. This has happened to me before so it must be something I am doing wrong.

I get around it by putting buyers who query why they can't bid on an exclusion list, but I must be losing some buyers who don't let me know they can't bid.

What am I doing wrong? I exclude some countries like Romania and South America, yet then people in Belgium or Denmark or USA can't bid, despite me checking and these aren't selected in my listings.

    Any ideas?

I always when Im listing use this option for all international sales:
Additional post to locations - buyers contact for costs

Will post to United Kingdom and the followingWill post worldwide

and then I just tick the countries I want to post to?

I leave the field above it blank which is a drop down about international postage (drops down to custom location and worldwide) leave the services field blank and the cost field.

I get loads of international sales.....prob about 1/2 of my sales this month.... does this help?? Not sure Ive explained it very well!

Boo! Just got my first neutral feedback :( They claim the item is a different colour from the picture.

I guess I took a photo of the item, then photoshopped it into a different colour?

Oh well, have offered a refund. Lets see whether they get back to me.

Is this sort of thing just par for the course? Should I expect a couple of neutral/negative feedbacks every so often? (Luckily I haven't had a neg yet...)

The colour in the photo looked fine to me (on my camera and on my computer), but I hadn't thought about whether it might look different on their monitor. That was probably it. Thanks.

On another topic, does anyone have a recommendation of where to sell items that ebay won't accept? One of my listings got pulled last week - it was for 'Free Loader for the Gamecube', which allows you to play imported games on your Gamecube. It's a legit piece of software, but ebay doesn't like it because they don't allow you to sell things that can be used to play imported games. I've heard that Craigslist is a good alternative to ebay; are there any others?

Hello all! I don't know if anyone from this thread remembers me but I was an avid ebayer last year. Although in July I thought I was ill and started getting tired and stuff so packed it in. Anyway, it was a good job I did because I found out I was preggers in November and going up and down the ladder to get into the loft for 4 months whilst being pregnant wouldn't have been very good!!

So yes, lots of baby things to sell after they've been used, so I'm starting up shop again. Of course, I'm waiting to put my items on after the postage increases, so that I don't get caught short on P&P prices. :)

Hope all is well with everyone
