Wow - It definitely motivates me to see how well all of you are doing!!
Great job Yorkielass - my sales are def better after this FLW so I;m sure you'll make £150. Not bad for 'pacing yourself'.
CreditCrunch - wow! > £300 :T (Apologies I missed it the first time.)
CompletelyLost - that's a great total. And fantastic that your relists made you some money. I just love getting rid of things and the money is a great bonus (bit like winning a lottery).
MM - were you planning to go back to work after a bit?
AFM _ I've had great luck this time with a BIN going for £37 and five additional bids bringing my total this week to £172.99 before fees (and that's not including the £135 from Gumtree so far.) Whooeee! I'm hoping to get over £320 this month - go bidders go! :rotfl:
£320 this month is fantastic - not thought of using Gumtree before for things people can pick up locally - will have to investigate that too for next month!
Was tidying and cleaning last night ready for a viewing tomorrow and I've got a washing basket full of stuff to ebay in the wardrobe now so the small bits can be done this weekend and the others for next FLW.
I said to my OH that this viewing should be easier to prepare for than the last one 3 weeks ago given how much has gone out via ebay and charity shops and how little we've bought this monthInitial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000
Initial Mortgage free date - January 2058
Mortgage as of 1st February 2024 - £159,134.98
Overpayments to date - £79.62
Current Mortgage free date - January 20580 -
thanks everyone.
only made so much because I sold a brand new 10 man tent & a disney cars set. the other items were all £2-£10 each or there abouts!
Not so confident on getting anywhere near that much next month :rotfl:
i have 67 listed & only one bid on one item at £4.50 :-(
all items end on sunday so a lot of them will be relisted at 99p to get rid.
OH is insisting on investing in an ipad so i spend less time on the PC upstairs, so hopefully that will help me get the 100 99p listings done a month0 -
Fantastic result! Completely_Lost and Slipper75, and with still 5 days to go before the end of this month :T
Slipper, hopefully soon but it's hard cos I do the school runs and look after DD all day. I only had a part-time job but it suited me well and when we decided to try for a 2nd child, I had difficult pregnancies, so decided to quit altogether. We got lucky with DDand now she's 2, can't wait for her to go part-time at school
You did so well this month, Credit_crunch, ipad is a great present to yourself! relaxing with OH in the sofa whilst listing on ebay on your new ipad. everyone's happy!:D
I'm off to the PO to post 4 items and 6 items ending tonight, all have bids :j one up to 12.50 with still 8hrs to go.
P.S.Yorkielass, goodluck with your viewing. Fingers crossed for you0 -
Ive only got x 7 free 99p start listings left to use this month - think I will use them up tonight on 10 day listings and so thats me done listing until I get my next 100 in Feb. (Though I may get itchy fingers on the weekend and give in and pay!)
Everyone is doing so well - Ive still got loads of stuff left to list so hopefully Ill bring in a similar total in Feb. Think Ill prob make another £20-£30 this weekend judging by bids so far....
Wish my OT would buy me an Ipad ha ha! - no chance our pc is in the living room.
I too will be looking at Gumtree - saw an advert for it last night I think,,,,,0 -
Gumtree is fab as you can post stuff that's big and tough to find boxes for and there are no fees at all
. So whatever you get, is what you get. Do beware, that many people ask for discounts. I normallly as a last line on my posting that it's £XX cash & carry and for some reason it's cut down on the cheeky offers.;)

2013 goal is getting rid of all my clutter and it would be a bonus to make £2000 again doing so!
£291/£2000 = 15%

Hi, just wondering about the selling of clothes on ebay, if i put a childs coat on for say 99p, and it sells for that, if they by paypal surely its hardly worth it is it due to fees etc?
Trying to declutter, have tried facebook but no interest for individual items and have differnt ages so cant bundle much...apart from popping in charity bag, any advice please? x0 -

hi rippedoff
I only list stuff at 99p f I am happy if it sells at that level. You could add an extra 50p or so to your postage to cover the paypal fees even?
Why dont you get photos taken & descriptions written & saved in a word doc so when there is another free listing weekend you will be pretty much ready to go.
Or you can pay the fees to list items with a starting price of the minimum amount you want to take for them
I have never really listed kids clothes before, but I think a few ppl on here list kids clothes in bundles rather than single items.0 -
I only bother listing childrens clothing if its unusual or is a good brand in excellend condition. If its eg a NEXT branded coat with a good photo in a bright colour then should sell for a good price. I find that baby clothing is usually better sold in bundles - dont have much luck at 99p. Some of my older girls clothing (3-5yrs) sells well if it meets above criteria, especially if you offer to ship overseas.0

Well I have almost £77 in bids and lots of watchers!£20 a day April 2014 £834.87/£600 :j
£20 a day May 2014 £108.45/£6000 -
thats really good Natterjack - looking good for the weekend for you! I have 30 items listed and all are going to end on Sunday..... Am nearly out of free listings so think I will end up paying to list on Sunday to get Feb off to a good start! Right - I dont work Fridays - I must go and clean upstairs and do some decluttering (= find stuff for ebay) along the way!!!0
