You're very efficient, sophiasmum. Good amount of sales too.
Well done Slipper! on the Gumtree sales. Maybe I should list the kids elc playtable there and another 2 items that I don't really want to post.
4 ended last night and 3 sold, only totalling 6.15 + p&p. they were started at 99p. so pleased I got a little more. 1 paid last night so will have to post that.
I will update my sig later.
  • Not doing too badly- as long as more bids start coming in towards the end of the week. Have one item with bids up to £16 and watchers on others.

5 out of 7 sold, I'm guessing that'll be another £18 or so to add. 1 was a freebie, 1 was some craft stuff someone gave me and 1 was something my mum bought OH that wasn't suitable for his railway (and looks to be a random 2nd hand thing anyway) so really pleased. A mistake I'd bought from ebay last year that didn't sell last week went really well this week, you never can tell can you?!

Decided not to do any relists and just stick with the 4 things now (2 relists, 1 relist of something I've sold 1 of already and 1 new thing OH checked and found does pretty well on ebay normally) that finish this weekend.

As I said yesterday need to pace myself - weekends are starting to get a lot busier and the next 8 weeks at work will be crackers so can't over commit on the packing and posting side of things.

My January told should be over £120 though, more if the things listed for this weekend sell so I'm made up with that.

Wow - everyone is doing very well. Yorkielass - isn't it great when you can repurpose things and make some money too :rotfl:

MM - I think I'll try your trick of having multiple windows open - I can see how that would save time. I would def suggest selling bigger items on Gumtree. I have to say that I tend to get very good results there on bigger items. The trick seems to be charging no more than 50% original value. (But you do sometimes have to deal with no shows unfortunately.)

Sophiasmum - good for you in getting all of your items posted. Now you just have to wait for this week's to finish :)

No watchers on my books so I think they'll be endlessly posted every FLW until someone buys them :). Does anyone use Amazon for books - it seems that with the 17% charge it would not be worthwhile, but then I guess you're more likely to get a sale?!

Off to update my totals for this month so far! £197.31. Still think that MM winning :T though with her £250+

Slipper75 - I use Amazon for books and DVDs, find I have much more luck on there with those! Its actually very easy and they tell you the charges and how much you would make on a sale up front. I dont bother listing a book if it is selling at 1p - I only list on there if the book is rated at over £1 or even more if its a heavier book (to make sure I am covered on the postage charge.) I like the fact that you are led on how to be the lowest priced seller on there and I often go through my 'catalogue' to ensure my prices remain the lowest ie more likely to sell. Hope this helps :) Your items also remain active - so no relisting!
  • Thanks SM - I might just try and list a load of books there this weekend.

Good guess - £18.83 profit on all the items sold on Monday night all paid now too.

That's £124.83 so far in January and the thing I listed for £20 on Sunday has a bid too so I'm hoping I might almost get to £150 by the end of the month - that would be pretty good!

  • Highly motivating being in here with you guys. I'm a sahm so have plenty of time, but not enough to get everything done i.e housework :o:p
That's great, Yorkielass, you got your money back from that item bought by mistake.
That's why I relist items more one once cos you never know or until I get fed up with them and then they get put in charity/recycling bag.

I'm itching to get back to work. I feel like I don't have much purpose to my days although yesterday was good seeing some friends I haven't seen before christmas and have a good old chat :D

Good tip on Gumtree, Slipper75. I managed to download openoffice last night and copied the template and did a little tweaking so it shows profit on each item too as well as overall profit. I haven't finished inputting all of my items so will post my 'true' profit soon.

I think Credit_crunch is the one to beat :D
I know it's not a competition but it's great for pushing us a little bit more than our usual effort. Everyone's doing really well. Keep it up guys :T:beer:
  • I sold 4 items last night - all 99p relists, so made about £5 after p&p is paid.
Also relisted some 99p items that ended without bids, and have decided to just get rid of some of the others that are refusing to sell.

Currently have 36 items listed, 2 items selling. Looking forward to the weekend...

My ebay sales alone total £147.11 so far this month :)

Wow - It definitely motivates me to see how well all of you are doing!!

Great job Yorkielass - my sales are def better after this FLW so I;m sure you'll make £150. Not bad for 'pacing yourself'.
CreditCrunch - wow! > £300 :T (Apologies I missed it the first time.)
CompletelyLost - that's a great total. And fantastic that your relists made you some money. I just love getting rid of things and the money is a great bonus (bit like winning a lottery).

MM - were you planning to go back to work after a bit?

AFM _ I've had great luck this time with a BIN going for £37 and five additional bids bringing my total this week to £172.99 before fees (and that's not including the £135 from Gumtree so far.) Whooeee! I'm hoping to get over £320 this month - go bidders go! :rotfl:
