Hi I am new to ebay and have only sold 1 item last xmas. I am registered with paypal but i have had an email from them saying my email address had changed (i had not changed it) and if i wanted to keep my email address i had to complete a new profile which they wanted to know all my bank/cc accounts and my social security no .It came from the states bcause wanted to know zip address.I have just tried to sign in to my account and itwouldnt let me but i have changed it back with a new password, no money has changed in my paypal acc just wondered if anyone has had this happen to them,it does put me off a little bit of using ebay but i do have things i need to get rid of .

That wasn't an email from Paypal so I hope that you haven't signed into Paypal via the link they had on the email as they now have your new password etc.

Forward the email to Paypal and sign in to the proper Paypal site and get your password changed NOW

    Hi everyone

I have got over 30 things listed at the moment and I was browsing to see if there were similar items up for sale the same as mine to compare prices etc.
I then realised that the photo I had taken of one item had been copied by someone else and used to sell theirs! I am I wrong at being annoyed by this?
On the last free listing day in early February I also noticed my description word for word being used as well!

I would like to know people's views on this, is it common and should I send a message asking them to remove my photo?

Silly me... I wrapped up all the items I sold for 99p, then I sent them all... then I realized one of them (the heaviest) had not been paid for yet. I saw a payment had been made today and I assumed it was that one. I had miscalculated the postage and after selling 8 items at 99p and sending them I would expect to get at least £7 profit... well, with that one item not having been paid, the Paypal fees I was not aware of, the eBay fees that everytime seem to be more and all the postage mistakes my profit is... wait to hear it... £1.70!!! LOL Oh well, at least I have not lost money and I have more room in the wardrobe... shame of the time I wasted packing and queuing in the p.o. Lol I need to remember Paypal fees next time, I had to pay around 30p per item plus eBay that meant 50p per item just in fees!! I am shocked. Since I sell everything at about 99p I really need to get my p&p right otherwise I might lose money!!

I use the Royal Mail website to work out my P&P fees. I weigh each item on my kitchen scales and put the weight in on the Royal Mail website and it tells you all the different postage options and prices. Add a little bit for packaging and it hasn't let me down so far! (fingers crossed!)

I've just had an email from someone in Canada who is interested in one of my items. I've sent them the cost of postage by Mail, or courier - but am I correct in thinking it is possible for them to arrange collection of the goods if they win them? If they do win & they want me to send them can I add postage costs on after the bidding has ended?
    Thankx

Woohoo, it's a new month so have done a few 99p relists. I'm going to try to eke my 100x 99p listings out better this month... not run out by listing stuff on 1-day listings like I did last month :S

Refund and then send one invoice with all 3 items on and one postage price - refund the difference in postage and let the buyer know what you are doing.

Many thanks, very useful to know!

Listed some beautiful sparkly Aldo high heeled shoes and a buyer emailed me to ask if I could take a photo of my foot in the shoe, well I'm selling them for my sister who has smaller feet so the shoes don't fit, I explained this so they asked if I could just try and squeeze my foot in which I did and emailed the photo. Now my hubby thinks it's someone with a foot fetish!!!!!

I've got friends who have sold shoes and been asked the same thing - very strange if you ask me!!!
