Is Green Met easy... I have only ever used ebay or amazon?!

Easy peasy - just put the ISBN in and click on the condition. Then wait for an email to say that the item has sold. Make sure you have plenty of room to store the books; they can take forever to sell.

Waiting for a payment for something that sold sunday morning. How long does everyone wait before sending the buyer a message?

Yes I was wondering that too although I have just sent a message to my buyer for an item that sold Saturday. Its only for 99p but its more annoying because I will have to go to the post office again even though I went today & posted 3 items.

    Hello!!

Well, I've spent the last 3 days reading my way through this thread and it might be a bit strange but I kind of feel like I know you all like friends... Sorry if that sounds a bit creepy.

I've not had much success this year. I had a couple of sales back in october that did well but this year... one book and one DVD on Amazon in the last couple of days so hopefully my luck is changing.

I only have one thing listed at the moment, a monsoon dress. It's the 3rd time listing it and if it doesn't sell this time I'm not sure what to do. It seems too nice to just charity shop.

I also want to thank you all because I was in a panic and you solved my problem. I sold a DVD on Amazon on Monday evening and I had no idea how I was going to get it posted because the hours I work and travel I do I wouldn't have been able to get to a post office. Instead I learned from here about paying for postage online and I'm about to pop it in the post box during my lunch break so thank you very much for solving that issue.

You are all motivating me to sell stuff to see if I can get myself out of the mess I can see approaching. I thought I had nothing to sell but I can see from here I probably have lots! Not much in the way of big ticket items but every little helps right?!

I'm annoyed though, I'd never thought of selling magazines and as a result thew out a couple of bfs Mens Health and other exercise magazines YESTERDAY!! Argh!!

Oh well, I know for next time.

I'll be back when I've earned my stripes a bit and sold more stuff.

ps. I'm in a miserable mood because I've not sorted myself out as much as I thought I would his month but you have all helped me smile.

    Hi all,

Hope everyone's well. I've just had a thought about something I could sell but wanted to get some feedback from a few experts!!

One of my favourite CDs is ruined - it skips through nearly every track - and as a result I am currently bidding on a replacement on eBay (£1.98 inc postage!). Hopefully I will win (!), and therefore I will have 2 cases and only 1 CD that plays properly. My question is, is it worth putting the replacement case on eBay? Do you think anyone would be interested? I'm not sure how well this particular one will sell anyway, as it's not a very popular artist, but might be worth a try? As an aside, there is someone else selling the same CD I'm bidding on but *without* the case, so there's obviously people out there who do lose/break/bin CD cases... :D

Any input would be great! Thanks

Keep listing your monsoon dress, even if you have to list it every free listing weekend for the next 6 months! Honestly, persistance pays off.

Don't 4get, may/june means proms 4 school leavers, summer is popular 4 weddings so outfits required, nov/dec brings xmas work dues.

Thanks Michelle, I think it's just been a little bit disheartening. I'm seriously beginning to wonder about my taste in clothes!
