    hi everyone

I am pleased with my ebaying efforts so far and managed to list 26 items on Saturday. Today I have had a message from a bidder who has asked me to remove his bid from my listing as he is bidding on a duplicate item. :( I haven't a clue how to do this and when I have looked at the help section of ebay it suggests the bidder has to retract the bid not the seller remove it. Could anyone give me some advice please as I am very confused!
  • Another question - for a designer item such as this, is it a good idea to set a minimum price or just start the bidding at 99p? Does letting it start at 99p give the impression the item may be fake?

    Hi Bev

It is my understanding that if the item is still active, the buyer has to cancel the bid from their side. Tell the buyer to go to help and look for how to cancel the bid, they have to fill in something called a 'bid-retraction form'. It's all explained there for them.

If the listing has ended, then you can cancel the transaction.

    Hope that's helpful

Thank you for your help - have sorted it out now!:T I hope this doesn't happen too often as it is disappointing when a bid has to be cancelled and I doubt I will sell the item at all now. Oh well at least I am getting a better understanding of ebay through this.
  • Congratulations for getting started mrsdriver ~
Just for future reference, pricing items at £4.99 rather than £5.00 will save you a fair whack over time, this also goes for 9.99, 14.99, 19.99 ect.

good luck with your sales :)

Wow 3 items have bids :j

A little worried about how much watchers there are on an used underwear set though

Have another 6 items to get ready for listing tonight ad I can then start on the next mountain of stuff. Still working my way through the study. It is neverending!
