  • I've had a lot of things listed on Preloved and had no interest, think it's time to add them to ebay.
  • I'm trying to get into the habit of being online when my listings end on eBay, it's nice to see them go (or maybe not go as the case may be!) I've been quite successful tonight though. 7/8 of my magazines so far have sold, 6 of them were at 99p (which to me is better than nothing) and the other 1 has commanded £2.70! I was not expecting that at all.

I'm going to visit my friend at the weekend, he found it odd that I was asking about the Post Office and the number of counters in it (I don't want to make any enemies!)
    Thank you competition posters!
  • That's great about the magazines selling, I've sold decorating/home-type mags before with some success.

I listed 4x cds tonight, which is more than I thought I would manage. I was torn between sending them to musicmagpie and getting 30p for them, or listing on ebay and possibly getting 80p. At least listing <99p items is free so will try ebay first.

I have a few items ending tonight - sold two and have one more ending in a minute (with one bid). So not too bad for a weekday eve! Will go to sleep once my last item has ended :S
  • Hmm, I've got a load of old Weight Watchers magazines. I might stick those on tomorrow and see how it goes. What length listing is best 7 or 10 days?

Leaving it on for a longer time will hopefully mean that more people will view them, I normally put mine on for 7 days, although sometimes 5 and sometimes 10 - it depends which day I put the listing on.

    Hi all,

I sold two more items today , the first was a book which went for £4.99 on its second time of listing and the second item was a new pair of next trousers that my baby son never wore, sold for £5.50.

Also had a new d1sney photo album that didn't sell, I was going to re-list, but there are about another ten the same on , so don't think its worth it as I would like more than 99p for it. Think I will keep it back for a while.

Still got 27 items on with only four bids, managed to add two listings on today and take some photos ready to add more tomorrow.

Has anyone sold vouchers on ebay before, is there guidelines or anything. I would welcome your opinion, as I have a collection of 50p/ £1.00 vouchers of this and that, which I probably won't use , and thought they might make me a pound or two. Although some of them do have 'not for re-sale' on, so guess I 'd better not include those ones.

I have a question for you all regarding things like mobile phones and laptops. What is the risk of identity theft selling these kinds of items? I am stupidly scared of that kind of thing. Also, even if you delete photos from a digital camera, can they be recovered by unscrupulous people?!

  • Hi
I've lots of stuff to list on Ebay, most items are new clothes some of which I have in several sizes.

Do I list each item seperately or do I list 1 item and state that it comes in sizes 12/14/16 etc.?

I know listing together will save fees but does it sell as well?

MsWannabe - sorry I can't offer much help as I don't usually sell clothes (yet), however, I have seen people list all the sizes in their title and then allow people to choose which size they want on the page. I think this reduces listing costs and should get you the ones checking by size too.

AFM I have 27 items listed and have had two bids a day apart on different things. Then the following day, both bids were retracted. I never thought that this happened....guess I was wrong.:( Hopefully, someone else will bid... I've got two other bids for over £45 but the rate this is going they may be retracted too...

    Good luck to everyone!!
