Oh, and it didn't even have any watchers this time. Maybe I just have bad taste?!

I sold 14 fiction books, mainly ones my mum has given me and doesn't want back and a couple of ones I got free, for £10 through work, had tried on green metropolis and had no takers and so did them individually or as one box at work hoping someone would take them all and they did eventually!

2 of my 7 ebay items have bidders and 3 more have watchers, got a few ideas for what to put up this week too - keeping it going slowly but surely.

I've now got 7 bids on my 14 items, totally £28.93 so far :j
  • Just had a message from someone asking if i'd take a tenner for a bean bag chair if they collect tomorrow. I'm really pleased with that!

Also got bids on four items, total atm is £7.41, hopefully i'll get a few more bids soon. I've decided that anything i sell either through the papers or ebay that is cash on collection will pay my mum back and anything that goes through paypal will fund my house move.

My girl's are going to their dad's house tomorrow afternoon so i'm going to devote my 4 hours to the loft and try and dig out more stuff to list.

    xx

I've been starting it at £9.99. I guess That could be where I'm going wrong? What do you think, should I list again straight away?

I'd be tempted to start it at about £4.99 or £6.99 and just see how you go with that. I had a kids doggy costume I put on at £14.99 BIN or best offer. Twice it went unsold and without any offers though plenty of watchers. Relisted at £9.99 on an auction format and it sold for £16.99 :rotfl:
  • On a more annoyed note, I have a lovely little bridesmaid dress that I listed at £6.99 (immaculate) and went unsold. Had someone email me to say they had missed the end of the auction and would I be relisting? Relisted it, let them know and it had 3 watchers but no bids by the time it finished today

Why do people do that??? Well it's tough, they've lost out now, i'll put it back in my daughters wardrobe and she can use it for dressing up. Third or fourth time i've listed it now and each time ended without selling but loads of watchers.

I had two of those last night, within 10 minutes of the auctions ending I had two messages in my inbox with "I forgot to bid / missed bidding will you be relisting" Seriously, why not just bid when you see it or at least the day before, especially when it's a 99p item? :wall:

I'm going to "officially" join in with you here as all I seem to be posting about in my diary is work and listing on ebay :rotfl:I had a fairly good couple of days with nearly £50 profit. My ebay is currently saying that in the last 60 days I've sold 100 items for £338.26 in total, so an average £3.38 per item (before fees) Not masses but I'm slowly clearing out the clutter and making some pennies at the same time :D

If I don't do re-lists or get anything else listed this weekend I'll be down do less than ten items on which just won't do! I've got quite a bit of work on tomorrow so I think Sunday is going to be a day of ebaying for me :o

Apologies for the essay, and hello to everyone!

  • Grrrrrrrr. I was just mindlessly relisting ebay items and then checked my seller fees, to find that I've been charged for the 99p relists. Seems I must've gone over the 100x free 99p listings allowed. Good job I noticed when I was only £1 down, otherwise it could've ended up costly :o

Hmmm - listed half a dozen things last week. I item has a bid & 8 watchers (fingers crossed) & 1 item had a watcher who dropped out & now has 2 watchers! Not sure if my 2 watchers will bid though after reading some of the posts - fingers crossed!
