Hi Mooloo, I don't know of you intend sewing for gain again, but I saw this catalogue and thought of you-the bags and aprons are just the sort of thing you make I think.

Housing officer has been, very late but she has been.
She said she came earlier but I was out. (2.20!) Said we were at nursery. She said that she had seen the garden. I am not sure how far up it she went but I told her about the top of the garden etc, and she said that she would get the inspector back out!!
She said if I put a letter in writing about the wanting a larger shed they usually agree it. And as my neighbours have huge outbuildings then they cannot really refuse me.
I have a few issues to still sort with the benefit people. I wish I hadnt been so honest now.! Told them they had worked my intitlement out incorrectly as they hadnt worked it out on my income of Tax credits. They didnt believe me! As they used what the Government tell them as a figure. I told them what I get and have proved it before, but they have lost that information and basically are calling me a liar. The daft thing is if they went on my figures they would be saving themselves half the rent and a chunk of the council tax! Cos I get more then they say!
Now its dig it all out and go back all over again. I am not impressed. But I dont want to be over paid and then have to give it all back! I am already paying back some from their previous mistakes!!!!
DS has been intouch, at last. Via a text. Only cos I text him and his mate- Yesterday- He then said he would come home tonight, but he needed picking up. For the first time in my life, I have told him No. I cannot go. Get a bus. But he reckons he cannot. So he is not coming today now.
Sad in one way, but glad in another. I am far too sore to go out today.
I am in a lot of pain now.
its been too hectic a week for me, and i am struggling.
Biggest of Mooloo has now got the sickness bug bless her. (she is worried about Minnie bean (baby) having been deafened by the noises her stomach has been making! Also she has been so sick that she is only bringing up water now!. Bless her).
Her car was a complete burn out! The surveyor said it was just a shell, and has offered her £2,000 for it. I doubt she will get another one for that. But we will have to see.
DGD was excited to go to Nursery. Didnt want me to leave her, but didnt even notice when I slipped into the staff room for a cup of tea. Wouldnt come home when I wanted too either!
She will settle in there well I think.
She will start on Tuesday next week.
So I must remember to do a packed lunch for her. The other nursery provided meals.
DGD has broken the TV by poking a pencil in the place where the buttons are supposed to be. (She broke the button earlier in the week, so the TV has not been switched off just on standby! But I cannot get it to do anything now.
It was old. With a Video player in the bottom of it. She was trying to get her Postman Pat video to work.
She went across to the sofa to hide her face, and has fallen asleep!! I cannot let her sleep long or we will be in trouble. But I shall just leave her long enough to go and see if I can find the old TV anywhere. In the mountain of boxes that are my bedroom. But it will only be looking in the topboxes as I am in too much pain to do much.! if not its an early night for the pair of us. (Well I have the laptop I can watch things on, but I am often in bed early anyway. We really do need a new(er) TV!
Have a look on freecycle for a new television Mooloo, there is always loads round my way!:j rolo-polo1965 :j0 -

Good thinking Roly Poly :A and I've found a Hospice charity shop in Brackley !
http://www.katharinehouse.co.uk/OurShops.htm
Thanks everyone. Yes I have been to this shop before, in the summer. The first time I went it was what I can all oldfashioned charity shop, full of clutter and delights like button boxes etc. However the last visit it was becoming a little more upmarket. Oh well they must make thier money. As a manager of one myself (over 2 years ago now! eek), I know only too well. I shall be visiting them when DGD is in Nursery, probably on a Monday morning, when I only have a few hours while she is there.!
I am looking forward to doing my sewing again. I have a mountain of fabrics and accessories to use up! BF thinks I have far too much stuff! He is right. I will need to make sure I use what I have and find an outlet for it all!.
Not sure i can compete with those at "ThirtyOne" but I can certainly make aprons and some bags etc etc.
Tuesdays and Wednesdays will be my "working" week. When DGD is at Nursery for 6 hours each day.
We are just working out our routines etc. And in a few months time, when the weather is better, and my health improves I hope that I will be able to start either the market stall, or selling things again.
Ifonlyitwaseasier, I still have a part made Banner! is it too late? That will be the first thing I manage to get done, when I start sewing.! Hopefully on Wednesday next week, I will be able to get going. I hadnt forgotten, I have some fabrics I think that will be ideal to make for boys.
Right its time I find something for DGD and I to wear, and get ready to take her to her mum for Stay and Play.
She knows its Friday, and therefore is Stay and Play!.
(she just noticed that the Motif on her pants has "cracked", in her own words, " my knickers have cracked granny, Oh dear!"):rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Mooloo, as a regular poster on here and avid reader I wanted to share something with you and the other followers. Single, working parent, blah blah blah. You pretty much know all that. Have NO support network at the moment... that is a temporary thing for the next couple of months. I've had a horrid week. Last night it all came to a head. I got absolutely hysterical and just couldn't see that there could possibly be a way out of the messes I was in (yes messes!). The point is, today (with little sleep I may add) I have worked through things and it seems that there is a solution to pretty much all of it now. I suppose I hit my mount everest last night... that's what I'm going to think of it as, and now I am on my way back down. Things aren't perfect, by any means, but I am not in the huge mess I was last night and can see things a bit clearer now.
Big hugs to you. I hope you have come off Everest and are on your way to base camp too. x0 -

I think that you might be right there! But I aim to do something about it this year! and not increase it beyond necessities to finish something.!:DWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

I am pleased that you have had a better look at things today, and can see your position more clearly. I do often think that life is sent to try us, and try us, it does!
It would be good to think that Base camp is within reach this year.
Actually today, I think that it possibly could be!
I was going out this morning all in a rush, trying to get DGD out ready to see her Mum, and as we were getting into the car the Post man came. In amoungst the post is a Book I ordered from Amazon, about making childrens "Life Story" that I think Gizmo pointed me too, and a letter from the council asking once again for proof of DS's Child benefit, and his course etc at College. But the last envelope was one I had not expected.
As I hurriedly had a peak, I was thrilled to see, A beautiful card and some Giftcards from my friends the Nonnymice!!
:T a huge big thankyou to the Nonnymice
for my gifts. I am really thrilled, and it really lifted my day.
I think a little birdy must have been talking to you to give you my new address!!
I was able to have a few hours to myself while DGD was with her Mum, and I went to MK to buy a present for my BF. He is 50 tomorrow.! I have to confess not only did I buy him some gifts I bought myself some new boots and an outfit to wear when we go out tomorrow night! So I have indulged myself, and had some retail therapy too!
This afternoon, Molly came to see me, and we had a good catch up, I am pleased to see her looking a little better, although she is still quite frail, and i fear we tired her out quite quickly. Her daughter and DGD got on really well, and it was a pleasant hour or so.
I was able to pass on the Approved Food purchases, and a few other things. I hope the Nonnymice do not mind that I have shared my gift with Molly, as I know that she is having a rough time of it at the moment.!When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
