OK thanks, I will see about ordering it! anything that may help. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
These are good for DGD - maybe cheaper on Amazon
http://www.baaf.org.uk/bookshop/book_popspanda
http://www.baaf.org.uk/bookshop/cyp/books - The Billy Series
and for you
http://www.baaf.org.uk/bookshop/book_attach
Bit of Life Story work and structured contact with mum may be needed whilst she settles down again - she is going through 2 big changes, moving house and changing school so perfectly understandable that she feels traumatised and scared.Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.0 -

Busy day ahead, must get on.

Oh and the housework and cooking etc etc etc:DWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
....I have tried to ask the other garage to refund me some of the costs, but they are adamnant that they didnt do the damage, and they will not pay anything towards the costs. Why am I not surprised.?
Mooloo, maybe if you get a chance, a phone call to Trading Standards may be in order...they may be able to "encourage" the garage to accept some responsibility for the damage.....I have come home to a council letter, saying about my benefits. I am not allowed my rent overlap as I didnt actually move in here the day of the tenancy start.!! So because the Housing delayed my start, and the removal men couldnt fit me in, they are not prepared to pay duel benefit. So that has set me back just short of £200. Whats new. I seem to always fall through the gaps when it comes to allowances and entitlements. !
Will you speak to them about it? And also to the Housing team of the HA who changed your start date in the new house? They may be able to persuade the Council to review their decision.0 -

I will try, but dont hold out much hope.
Am battle weary and fed up today. Feeling very dispondent and in a lot of pain today. Stressed out over SW questions.
Time to take DGD to new nursery. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Right, I am back from the Nursery visit. Not too many children there so nnot as noisy as I had feared.
DGD is really not herself today. Very "angry" and naughty. I am sure she is sick of people talking about her, and we have Another worker coming to see us at5.30pm
I am in a lot of Pain and cannot take anymore painkillers until at least 7pm!
My approved food delivery has arrived, the box was rather wet and damaged an there were a couple of items that were missing/incorrect but nothing really too out of sorts. I have emailed the company to let them know. But on the whole I am happy with the things I have got. however about 10 packets of Carrot an corriander cuppa soups which I didnt order, (wasnt charged for either, unless they are a substitute for the strawberry mousse), will take quite some drinking.! Soup anyone?
The Marmalade cake is Yummy though! DGD and I just had some on our return home. Its so wet and miserable out there.
(which is depressing in it self!).
As the warmth starts to creep in and the colour is coming back to our cheeks then we will start to cheer up too.
I will definitely be having an early night tonight. Tomorrow is another day, with appointments etc, but I will at least have the morning to myself.
(Well with DGD), but we havent got to dash around.
Twin2 was on her way to swimming at lunchtime when we were taking twin1 back, so I stopped to have a quick word. She believes that as the other grandparents didnt present to court in December, that they are no longer being considered for the care of the boys. ( To us, this is good news as we had several worries about thier reasons for applying to the courts for DGS2, just to be able to have DGS1 who is their grandson. (DGS2 is not related to them). She also thinks that they may not be coming to the contact anymore either, which may allow for me to see the boys extra? But I have to have this clarified before I go extra.
So looking on the brightside, and lifting my spirits as I think on.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Well that was a waste of space!
The SW arrived somewhat late, walked in, said hello to DGD, and then said "well thats all I came to do was to say hello to you" and said he had another appointment. He said he would "re issue the cheque" so thats still not even been started! That he had had a note from someone higher up saying it had been authorised and to get it sorted and that was some time ago!! no kidding.
He asked me to get my twin1 to see a solicitor and to get a letter written to say that she is happy for the Guardianship to go ahead, and if we could do that we would make his "christmas". He has my daughters details, and he has her land line. I told him to ring her and to leave a message. Its a house phone so it doesnt cost to leave a message! Although I also told him she was in now.
then he was - Must dash got to go to Daventry. Whats the best way to get there?
Now if I say I think he is as much use as a chocolate fire guard, please please understand me, I dont mean to insult him but come on?
what was the point of that visit. To say he had seen DGD?When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
He's ticking his box Mooloo, you've hit the nail right on the head. Probably has at least 30% more caseload than he should. It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0

Ido worry for them as a group and understand the pressure they are under, but i do feel that they also just firefight and therefore there is little time for quality in thier work. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
