Well I have applied for my Tax returns Pin number, and changed my address with them.
I have changd my address with the Medical Services, who are sending someone out to assess me in my own home.
I have contacted the council to query a £289.99 Councl Tax bill, which after looking at it, is now £18.99 few.As they are taking it out on Direct Debit.
I have other jobs to do, but am struggling with everything I do.
Not sure if the stomach cramps are the medication becuase I havent eaten much, or the Bug that set me off yesterday in the first place.
DGD has been snacking too much today. So her evening meal will be easy. Not a lot. Was supposed to be making a chicken and onion pie, but dont think I can stand up longenough. She has had Videos on one after the other today. But its keeping her quiet and not pestering me anymore.
I have been reading some of the save money threads, and the make money threads to get me going for this year.
I doubt I will sign up for some, but may dip my toes in and look for both savings and earnings over the next year.
I am very tired, with all the lack of sleep. I wish DGD slept these days! Ah well 4 more hours and I can. (I hope).
The car has to go to the garage tomorrow, so I will have to be up early whether I feel like it or not. Alas the bill will be higher, becuase of the VAT.
I must just keep my resolve to get organised in this new house, so I can start the sewing off again. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Hi Mooloo, I understand it is hard to receive praise but I am sure that well meaning posters recognise the qualities that you pocess. You are an inspiration.
Banbury is nearer than Northampton, being only 10 mls away from Brackley and most shops accessible near the Castle Quay Shopping Centre (less fuel cost). I use a bus, runs every 30 mins, with my bus pass, so do not always have to use my car saving me both petrol and car parking costs, thus saving me money. I know you are a young'n and may not have a bus pass yet but is it possible to apply for one in your situation? Sorry I am ignorant of such matters.
I am glad you have started this forum, it is both an education and an encouragement to witness the human heart when the chips are down. I wish you continued mental and physical strength to keep going. Bless you.0 -

Hi Phill, I shall see what happens to my situation after the medical is done. Got turned down last year, without them even looking at me so its at least one step closer.
I shall have to venture out towards Banbury and investigate the town. When the weather is warmer it would be easier!.
I hope your health has stabilised? Its been a long time since you posted. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

I considered the reply from Molly to be rude and aggressive (that feeling was reinforced by yet another poster posting "Go Molly" etc) although a previous reply from Ball and Chain had been courteous, helpful and to the point.
Padstow didn't complain as far as I know, perhaps he/she had gone to read the whole thread or maybe they were put off altogether by the reply from Molly.
If the tone of the thread had gone t*ts up, as you so charmingly put it, it was because of the abrupt reply to Padstow from Molly.
Fanning the flames? by feeling sorry for another poster? dear heaven.
I didn't make any criticism of you or your posts, nor did I need a resume of your previous circumstances as I have read the posts from the beginning. As far as I remember I made no mention of you at all, so why the need to be so defensive?
No need to answer, heaven forbid that the thread should go t*ts up again!
I read this thread daily and post occasionally. I have never found anyone to be rude or aggressive on this thread. Padstow asked a question and it was answered. Padstow has never posted again for his/her own reasons. The only person I can see who is keeping this going is you, so you must feel bothered or annoyed.
This is an open forum and everyone is entitled to their say and opinion, you included. On this occasion though, I would leave it here, you clearly don't like the tone of this thread, there will be plenty more that suit you. I would move on to another thread that you feel more comfortable in. Just bear in mind though, this is an internet forum, I just don't see the point of confrontation on these, I know plenty of folks 'get into it' though.
Have a good Monday everyone. x[/QUOTE]
How do you know I don't like the tone of this thread, are you psychic? and who are you to tell me which forum will suit me?
I thought Molly was unecessarily rude and I said so, she could either have ignored my post, apologised to Padstow or said the post had come across differently than she intended. That post by Molly seems to have vanished, I couldn't find it when I looked, I wonder why.
You just don't see don't see the point in confrontation yet make a post advising me what does and doesn't suit me, that's rich. I don't particularly like confrontation, but if I see someone being ranted at for merely asking a question, especially as they had started the request with "Please" I will protest, and if someone has the gall to suggest which thread will or won't suit me I will protest about that too, even though I am loath to interrupt the flow of the thread again.
Try taking your own advice.0 -
Lilac Louisa - I have read through your history of posts and you seem to rather like confrontation as in your short life on MSE there have been quite a few spats on different threads. I think you are being a troll and therefore its best to put you on ignore as others might!
I wont apologise for what I posted. Yes it was removed as was the twenty plus "thanks" that it received. That in itself says something.
Right lets get this thread back on track with money saving ways....
Mooloo has done an Approved Foods order today and has very kindly let me share some of her goodies as I am a bit hard up for a few days. How kind hearted is that? Hugs my friend for what has been a difficult day for you. Tomorrow you will feel much better and lets hope the car doesnt cost the earth xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Ah well the temptation to buy lots at such low prices is hard to resist. Often do "red cross" parcels for the twins when I have a stash of goodies! One more wont make much difference.
It would make sense to share an order with someone anyway, as the cost of delivery can get quite high due to the weight of things, especially when there are tins and potatoes! Gosh when I had the potatoes in November time they were huge and heavy!
I am starting to feel better now, but cannot face more than my cups of tea. DGD has just gone down after reading her her favourite story. Which is a reading book for 5 year olds! But she practically knows it word for word as its so simple. I am hoping that she is beginning to reckonise the words on the page as I always point to them while reading. My brother taught me to read doing that, so i was reading before I went to school!
Now I am going to have a little look for my favourite things, all Cath Kidston on the internet to cheer me up, and then when I know DGD is down, I will relax with Lark Rise to candleford, as I taped it yesterday. Then it will be another relatively early night.
Lets hope that tomorrow the car doesnt bring up any more surprises then the £255 that they quoted, and that the nursery fees of £25 are the last. I am hoping she will not hold me to the 2 months notice in writing. She did know that we were on the move in Novembeer, but I just didnt put it in writing.! silly me. Not very MSE of me if I have to pay. I had thought DGD's fees were covered but they are not. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Awww Mooloo, that is so sweet of you to help Molly out. Molly I hope that you are on the mend. Maybe when Mooloo gets the garden sorted, come spring/summer you'll both be sipping Pims in the garden with your home grown fruit from the trees! x0

I don't post often but mooloo you may remember me from having Parents living in Lagos Portugal.
I read this thread most days and for me one of the best things that seem to have come out of it is yours and Molly's friendship. It is one that has developed from an online forum into what comes across as a genuine 2 way friendship, you are there as support for each other in times of need.
I hope this continues and look forward to reading about your new adventures in your new house, lets hope this is going to be your year mooloo.

Yes my virtual and real life friendship with Mooloo is very special. I was very lucky to find Mooloo and DGD and we have supported each other through the ups and downs of the past year and long may it continue.I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.

I do subscribe to the ethos of being nice to all money savers but I get frustrated by people who don't read a whole thread and just jump in with an odd comment.
I also think there are many posters on this thread who are very protective of Mooloo and think that all she deals with on an every day basis is amazing.
Sorry if you thought I was being harsh.
I honestly didn't know if this thread was a spoof or what!
It's older than Coronation St.
I look in on many threads but this one has been going far longer than I as a member here!
As to anyone suggesting I read the thread from the beginning!!
That is my point, haha. Where is the beginning? Must have been years ago.
I will, at sometime, read the posts after this. In the meantime,.. Mooloo, I wish you the very best. XXXX I think you're a star for "getting it."0
