Oooh can I join in?? I have started the grocery challenge this month but I really need to declutter as well.
I live in a 2 bed flat with my boyfriend, it is huge but there is not much storage so it can look messy so easily. Plus we both work from home so the second bedroom and the living room both double up as offices!
I think I will start one room at a time for a deep clean. We have lived here for 1 year but just signed the contract for another year so now is a great time to start.0 -

Welcome Chopper5
The best way to declutter is to start, now! I've been doing our main bedroom as it got really out of control, wasn't restful. Some people sell their stuff through ebay and other sites, or boot sales or to give their stuff to charity, friends or freecycle. Everyone has their own aims and challenges. Some are doing get rid of 100 things in 10 days. We often do weekend challenges when most of us have a "bit" more time.
Who's up for a mini weekend challenge - of say declutter 30 things?Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Thanks Mineallmine! My plan for the weekend is to make a to do list and then start room by room.
I started this morning taking the curtains down in the bedroom and starting to wash them - there are 4 in the bedroom alone and they are huge so had to put them in as 4 separate loads  Just hope they dry to get them back up tonight!
Does anyone know the best way to get rid of mould around the windows? Was thinking of soapy water but not sure if there is anything better.0 -

Evening
Still here, beavering away trying to de-clutter the spare room. I'm convinced that the clutter fairy sneaks in there at nights and dumps more stuff!
However - I think I'm winning. Over the past week or two I've
- recycled stuff (charity shops and leaving stuff out in the charity collection bags)
- binned anything that couldn't be recycled
- organised my crafting stuff. I can now work at the table in the spare room, and no longer have to cart stuff through to the lounge
- got rid of clothes I haven't worn in months, and got into the habit of putting clothes away each day instead of letting them pile up on a chair
- done some more kitchen de-cluttering of cupboards to make space for things that had been kept on worktops.
The house is looking much tidier. Still a work in progress, but i feel I'm winning the clutter battle
