More from me today.
Freegle
Wooden curtain Pole
Abgym
Cat Basket
Guillotene
Large Rug
Garden Vac
3x Suitcases
2 drawer rattan & metal unit
Bin
1/2 sack cassettes.
Since Wednesday I have decluttered;
5 sacks for recycling
6.5 items for tip/bin
14 items for Freegle
I am finding this so addictive and just want to carry on.
I now have a walkway in the garage (but still full of stuff), 2x sheds and have a couple of cupboards that are desperate for a sort out and then the dreaded understairs cupboard.
Thank you to everyone for the inspiration and this thread.

Not much decluttering done today apart from a Lamb Tagine out the freezer for dinner! I did sort out some more paperwork -birth & marriage certs from parents/grandparents, deeds to our house & my mums & put them all in the briefcase I rescued from the garage some weeks ago.
I did find a lovely 'Crossing the Line' certificate of my Grandfathers from 1926 that I'll pass to DS1 as he'll really appreciate it & it will stay in the family. I've now got an empty plastic box that I can use for accessories in my wardrobe. So although not much out at least its a bit more organised & neater & I'm satisfied even if I failed the 30 challenge. Well done to those who made it though.Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
2. bedroom mantel place cleared of gibble
Anyway didn't realise we had a weekend challenge on - but I managed to complete my big task of de-cluttering 2 teen DD wardrobes - lots for car boot, CS, and unfortunately bin - but I ended up with one dress, two pairs of jeans, one wool coat and a couple of tops so am a happy bunny :TCrazy Clothes Challenge 2012 £57.20/£100,CCC 2013 £68.67/£100 ,CCC 2014 £94.32/£100

mcculloch29 wrote: »You may well have a drawer in the house in to which all homeless bits go or stuff that you haven't got round to rehoming or want to keep handy... well, mine had got ridiculous, couldn't find anything in it. So it was comprehensively de-gibbled earlier.
There was a whole load of junk in it, but also some very useful things I'd forgotten I owned - a large reel of colourless thread, fabric gliue, super-strength glue, extra - strong staples and a big handful of wipeboard markers that I use frequently for teaching.
So 31. 'Useful' drawer de-cluttered.
32. Plastic twine from kitchen DIY drawer binned- knotted and useless, why had I kept this?
33. Dried up glue tubes of varying types x 5 binned. Had I been better organised I could have used the gliue BEFORE it dried out. Have made a mental note of the glue that's left.
34. Pens, pencils and markers from drawer all gathered into one bag.
35. Various spare coins from around the house into piggy bank - which is a blue pottery elephant with red and yellow spots and a daft expression. Every home should have one.
36. Lounge bin emptied and this time I remembered to put the correct fitting bin bag in.
There may be more later, but if not, that's not bad going (for disorganised at times little me!)Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Thank you! I wonder why I wrote gliue twice for glue?:rotfl:Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0

Aaargh made it. So embarrassed that my cupboards are still so disorganised. Boy do they look better with that stuff gone. So finally reached that target of 30 things gone. Phew.

Ooh, I think I need to join you!
My ambition is to convert my spare room (currently a dumping ground) to a craft room / office. Bit by bit I am getting rid of unwanted and useless stuff - freecycling/rubbish tip/into charity collection bags - but there's still a way to go. However today I have:-
1) Rounded up all my (many) craft mags from all over the house and put them into magazine files on a shelf
2) Thrown out all the unwanted magazines/non confidential paperwork/flyers that regularly get shoved through the door into the paper recycling box
3) Rounded up my papercraft stuff (which has been haphazardly chucked into boxes/is still in carrier bags and organised it into piles ready for boxing up (Why is card making such an untidy hobby?????)
4) In the process of going through piles of mags, found various letters etc which need replying to or filing away (I'm sooo untidy)
Phew - been a busy old day. Still lots to do, but have made a good start :j

2 - one trolley load of books (decided to count it as it was blinking heavy and took me 1/2 hr to take it there!)
3 - vintage mirror dropped off at friends today
4 - one old dirty broken fabric blind into recycling (may not take it!)
5 - poster and old annual from DD's room into recycling
6 and 7 - two carrier bags of books and magazines from DD's room for school tomorrow (40ish items)
8 - pair of very worn fabric shoes into recycling
9 - 14 jam jars into recycling (I still have 16 left, which is plenty should I ever get round to making something that needs to go in a jar!)
10 - two plastic water bottles into recycling
11 - one not complete ice-cream mould into recycling
12 - one pack of betty crockers brownies made for DD and OH (I can't eat it, and have a year's supply!)
13 - staple gun returned to friend
14 - 12 towels to charity
14 - 4 pillowcases to charity (gorgeous, but don't go with anything we have!)
15 - one double bed set to charity
16 - dress I haven't worn in over a year to charity
17 - two storage bags - one with zip broken to bin, one working to charity
OK - I'm going to call this a success as although looks like only 17, if you counted the items individually would be over 100 items gone! :j
Thanks for the challenge, I think considering we were out of the house most of the weekend it was a real success. Well done everyone else who managed it :T.
