I know its possible if I am organised, meal plan and stay motivated by coming on here for help and advice. There are 2 adults and 3 children, one is a bottomless pit active teenager!
Thanks in advance to all who post and those who run the threadLife happens when you are busy making other plans

I know I never seem to complete these things, but I'll be lurking for this month to see how I get on, then I'll try and rejoin next month.
Hoping it goes well!

i'm joining in for the very first time. I've just been working out our budget for the next year and groceries is one of the few areas where we have any leeway to make savings. Although I wouldn't describe us as poor, it's been quite an eye opener to realise how little of what comes in each month is spare once all the essentials have been paid.
At the moment our spend seems to be in the £30-40 a week region, to include all groceries, toiletries and cleaning products. Based on that, I am setting a monthly budget of £160 or annual of £1920. This is for 2 adults.
We are getting better at meal planning and cooking tumbledown meals, so I'm confident we can make clear savings. We also want to get into veg growing again after some fairly successful experiments last summer. More veggie meals are also on the cards. Finally, we need to waste less food.
savings made will be spent on furnishing our new house or OPing the mortgage.know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
Hello all, I'm in again, these 4 weeks in this month for me, so that really works out at £240.00 but I don't think thats enough as I've just declared at about £280 but then again December had 5 weeks.
I'll go for £65.00 a week so please put me down for £260.00 for January
The month will finish after shopping on 28th January0 -
