Hello All
£150 for me please this month, spent £39.10 already, but should be able to keep on budget!Debt free 11/05/11!
Savings £4000/ £3000 -
Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but have just bought 6 FR eggs from Mr T in my shop for 79p a box (usual price) and they are all large size. Also, their plum tomatoes (tinned) with herbs were 31p a tin. He likes their Fnest cherry tinned toms but at 79p a tin, he can have them as a treat at the weekend...lol

Can i please sign up.
I dont have any idea on how much we spend in a month so for the first month i am going to say £300 on food and £200 on diesel. Which makes a nice round £500 to start with.
Here's wishing everyone a great 2011.

hello everyone. can i join this challenge for £250 for the month? I'm expecting baby 2 in July and did a 'post baby budget forecast' based on our current outgoings and expected childcare costs and depressingly we will be overspending by £750 a month for 16 months  and I'm trying already to reduce this and the first target will be our indulgent grocery & shopping bill which had crept back up to over £300 a month.DFW Nerd Club #545 Dealing With Our Debt

Thanks Pink Winged, Mrs McCawber and Rosieben for the new thread
I'm going to try for an annual GC this year as we bulk buy a lot, especially expensive items such as meat, which is why my monthly total varies so much. Please put me down for an annual target of £1500. This works out at £125 per month (two non-fussy adults, one fussy but hungry 9yr old stepson every other weekend, two cats, two guinea pigs and one rabbit). Hope this works, its scary setting myself a limit for the whole year! xx
Trying to jump back onto the moneysaving wagon .... :cool:0 -
Hi All - can I play too please?
I need to cut down on my grocery spending drastically in 2011 as 2010 was a fattening year :rotfl:. I'll declare a budget of £120 for Jan (as I still have quite a lot left - is that cheating?) This is for 1 adult, 2 kids (1 a gannet) & 1 cat that seems to have adopted us. This is to include all cleaning stuff, toiletries & wine as well as food.
*Goes off to mealplan*& as for some happy ending I'd rather stay single & thin

Thanks Pink Winged, Mrs McCawber and Rosieben for the new thread :T
Am not declaring Dec total yet although not really sure that we need anything else this year but will wait and see.
For 2011 can I attempt for an ANNUAL BUDGET OF £3000 (£250 per month) but would also like to do a monthly target so for Jan £200 please as we have so much in and would really like it to be less than this but we will see.
Like lil_me I also hope to do at least one new recipe a month plus we very rarely have a meal without meat so hope to do something about this as well.
Amounts include all food, drinks, toiletries, cleaning aids for 3 adults (most of the time) and occasional guests. Also one small dog is included in this amount.
Good luck to everyone old and new and lets hope we all make big savings in our spending. :T
