Well, another poor shopping day - £10 over budget at £60:(:(

Prices are defintely going up - for example, a pasta sauce I usually buy was £1.36 now its £1.68:eek:
If everything is going up by the same amount its no wonder the budget is bursting.

The menu for this week is...
Sat - moussaka, salad and garlic bread
Sun - sausages, cheese and potato bake and beans
Mon - curry, naan and bhajis
Tues - sweet and sour quorn and rice
Weds - tuna pasta bake and garlic bread
    Thurs - omelettes and salad
Fri - mushroom burgers and chips/wedges

Its not exactly cordon bleu but edible and easy and vaguely healthy.
  • It all sounds very nice welshwoofer
space at the table for another body by any chance :D

Hello all :) £25.00 spend in town today. Although I don't have to declare it as it was paid for by OH :) WHOOP WHOOP!

Got lots of yummy things though for the cinema! In homebargains they are doing packs of four 500ml bottles of coke for £1.99 so got some of those plus some snacks.

Then into farmfoods for some other snacks LOL- they were doing two packs of pringles for £1 so that was pretty handy then got some fruit and veg and some of the half priced chicken breasts from co-op for our curry tonight (Yes- I have changed my mind AGAIN on the mealplan)

But it's all good :) got loads to last me well over the 20th of this month (when my budget ends) so it's alright!

Anyway I'm off to get the curry sorted! Have a good night folks!

First shop of this months pay: £20 spent between Lidl (£15) and Tesco (£5). Aiming to improvise a lot this month (I am trying to reduce the £60/wk food and diesel budget to £40 max/wk)!

First proper shop this year and only spent just under £16.00 I am very pleased as I have been using up a lot of my fridge/freezer stuff and my storecupboard stuff as well.Still have quite a lot in store viv-a-vis tinned stuff so not a lot of shopping needed at my house this month.

    Hi everyone

Spent 52.71 today between Home Bargains & Iceland:( I have only 21.92 now in my budget for 2 weeks:eek: Mind you 2 full freezers but we buy a lot of fruit, bread, and of course milk weekly so looks like I will go over budget. It might have been ok for the three of us but DS1 has returned home for a bit. I will meal plan for the next 2 weeks from freezer and hopefully minimise the damage.

Good luck to everyone else - we need this thread more than ever with the prices shooting through the roof.
    Payment A Day £15 (started 17/5/14) :j
  • Asda delivery come today-otherwise a nsd. Out tonight with a friend for a meal-I will count it in grocery shopping and be good!
FR chickens more expensive than I hoped but worth it I'm sure. Beens so busy working that home delivery is really appreciated. Going to peel some carrotsnow for tomorrow before I go out. going to have fr chicken frozen sprouts, carrots, roasties and yorkies. Cheating on the roasties and yorkies as they are frozen. Lots of fresh fruit on my delivery so not making puddings.
Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults

    I have had a result ...

After doing my Mr T shop yesterday I came straight to the laptop to update my signature and as I checked the receipt and noticed I had been charged twice for my potatoes

Feeling a little annoyed I wrote a polite email to the customer service department at my annoyance DH thought I was mad over a bag of pots but I explained it was the principle and lack of attention to detail was annoying.

Any how DH received a call from Customer Service and they are sending me a £5 voucher as an apology :T Well 'Every Little Helps':rotfl::rotfl:
