Can't believe I've spent so much again. Another £86.02 in Mr T's tonight . Was hoping to come in £100 under budget for month. Saying that, I really should now only need milk and fruit until my month finishes on 27th Jan. Someone seriously has to stop me from shopping. Can't even blame the kids, as they were pretty good and didn't hassle me for the usual rubbish.
Just put a woopsied brisket in the SC along with some woopsied casserole veg for lunch tomorrow. Hopefully will turn out nice, as haven't done whole beef in the SC before.
Maybe I should meal plan after I shop, I did mine last night and it's already gone to pot :rotfl:LBM Dec 10. Total unsecured debt £41176  Nov 12 Debt Free Thanks Mum x RIP x

Thanks mandco & cha97michelle for suggesting using a mug for measuring the cake ingredients out
Spends today of £21.11 bringing my total to £116.56, so not doing too badly at all.
Think I can hang out and not do my "big" online shop until Friday, so I'm very pleased with that.
I looked on the thread about the forum down time tomorrow and it states it will be roughly 8 hours from 9:30am, and they hope to be finished by 6pm - but it's all in the name of improvement
As someone else said - when we all try and get back en mass tomorrow at 6pm, it'll probably make the site crash :rotfl:

Hi all
As you can see i only have 25p left for 9 days  due to stocking up on Kelloggs Coco pops for my DD2 (on offer at Tesco- only £1.45 for 600g). So i won't have to buy any for months-hopefully.
It's not all bad though due to the £4.50 gift card for food at Asda that i have, so should be able to get milk and a bit of whoopsied fruit out of that. My cupboards and freezers are still rather full so it shouldn't be too difficult (famous last words).
Today i will make some leek and potato soup (found a very small bag of my home grown potatoes yesterday that i hadn't used-and the frost hadn't got to them:j). I have some homemade rolls in the freezer to have with them.
Tonight my DD's have a friend each coming for tea:
I'll be cooking h/m pizza and jacket pots, coleslaw, salad, tinned spaghetti if they want it and cheese....
i have found that their friends seem to go mad on the cheese and eat loads of it and it works out an expensive meal then, so now i only put a small amount out and tell them to share it out as we haven't got anymore (though we do have one bag of grated cheese in the freezer but thats got to last 9 days). Unfortunately my DD's friends are all really well off and have never had to 'go without' or have cheap brands like we have to, so i hide the value tins etc and it's funny as i have a reputation of being a good cook as i make my own things...they don't realise it's out of necessity lol.
Anyway for pudding at tea i have a victoria sandwich in the freezer so i'll make some butter icing in the middle and chocolate on the top.
So that's my day. Hope everyone has a good day. See you all at 6pm0 -
thius is a really stupid question but i have never made toad in the hole before. if i cook the sausages in a pyrex dish for usually 25-30 mins, after how long would i put the batter mix in? im assuming i can do that as there will be hot fat from the sausages in the bottom
can anyone help me please? xHave a Bsc Hons open degree from the Open University 2015 :j:D:eek::T0 -
I always grill my sausages first and then add them to hot fat and then add the yorkshire mix so i suppose add the yorkshire mix 5-10 mins before they are cooked?0

well I am up to £77.55 out of my £125.00 so not doing badly. Going to take the remaining money out of the bank account this week, and swap £10 note with the £10 Mr T voucher I got for my surveys, and use that to pay towards a debt. Got enough food for most of next week so only a few little bits to buy which I think will total no more than £15.00MAY NSD's
