Not yet caught up with todays posts as been busy. I have just updated my signature...i only have £59.23 left until 24th Jan (16 days incl today) so i had better watch out!...however i am very pleased as i have just picked up my seed potatoes for planting in my allotment in April they only cost me £13.63 for 100 seed pots (50 x piccasso and 50 x Marfona) from my local nursery so i'm very pleased. I include all my allotment things in my GC like compost, fertilisers, seeds etc
Anyway h/m pizza with salad and woopsied jacket pots for tea tonight and for lunch we had homemade veg soup and hm rolls, yum yum0 -

Oranges were a good luck gift from someone at OH work, sugar was in stock and so was the lemon. recipe was delias but took far longer than what she said to get to setting point, down to 2 glass jars left now so need to email me mum to keep saving some more for me.
Just had some on toast and it was yummy wasn't set properly still a bit warm but had to make sure it was ok.:D
Have just also made Delia's Seville Orange Marmalade. It kept it on a rolling boil for 50 mins...it's still a bit runny!0 -

we have a few in the front page index marked (adapted for SW), I think MrsMc said she has some more to post but I may be wrong on that one, anyone remember?
also a SW ice cream recipe in the desserts list
not sure if you've had a look at the OS weight loss thread which includes some recipes... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

Thanx!! what are stardrops?
Silverbird I think you're doing extremely well hun :T
Thanks to wssla0 for the info about the $limfast on offer in B00ts. I bought 5 tins yesterday from Te$co @ £4 per tin (*sobs quietly*) but may pick up another 3 or so from B00ts @ £2.99 a tin!
Scotsaver You were right about the £idl offers being regional.
I checked their website before I walked there today, and it was only showing Pork Loin Steaks & Chicken Legs on offer, but I went all the same - just in case there were Chicken Breasts/Thighs on offer, but sadly it was not to be. Never mind, I picked up a couple of other bits while I was there.
Maybe next week.....the £idl near me changes it's offers on a Thursday, with additional offers at the weekend, but it's been more than 2 months since they had an offer on Chicken Breast or ThighsI might try and hang out until Thursday just in case.
I had a look at the Icel@nd frozen Chicken Breasts, but, although cheaper per pack, the fact that I wouldn't be able to freeze them in diced batches of 200g, I think would work out more expensive for me. I never eat whole chicken breasts anymore as I've reduced my meat consumption (100g per adult is more than adequate) which has helped me to save money.
Right then - spends today of £12.39, bringing my spends so far to £62.88. We're ¼ of the way through the month, and ¼ of my budget is £62.50, so I'm 38p over.......I can live with that

I just peel and slice them, then I put them ob a baking tray and open freeze them so they are not stuck together-then ?I bag them up. Some people blanche them first but theres no benefit in my experience!
Ive had a nsd today and just had a look in the freezer. Got out some pork I bought in July for tomorrrow and will do one of the chickens also. Used up a tub of cooked mince from leftover beef pie recipe with a bit of packet mash for tea. Everyone here has just been snacking on fridge contents, bread and yesterdays left over pasta.Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0 -
