:j Diarised every spend this week (and even got hubby into it) - spend so far this month £68.69, so on track for my £69.00 weekly/£300 monthly I used to just count the Tesco online spend as our Grocery Spend but it's really suprising how those other little bits add up that we choose to buy elsewhere i.e. Farmfoods for milk 8 pints for £1.50 - Farm Foods for Loo Roll and Kitchen Roll, Village Shop for eggs (much cheaper than Mr T !!)

So early days but very pleased so far. I think the main thing for me is to check all my cupboards and freezer before meal planning and keep asking myself do we NEED it !!

Done this weeks shop and came in £19.29 over budget but bought loads of veggie sausages, mince and chicken style pieces at £1 a pack so should be able to survive for the rest of the month without buying any of that kind of stuff! spent £10.49 yesterday on loo roll bread milk but hopefully won't need any again till next saturday's shop :-D

Will need another 2L of skimmed milk tomorrow and a 2.5kg bag of potatoes (if I can face humping them home in my backpack) and when oh when are £idls going to have another offer on their chicken breasts or thighs for goodness sakes?! I'm having to pay full price again for both for the first time in about 6 months, and I'm not impressed! Lol

Hippeechiq - I think Lid!'s offers vary depending on Area, ours have 1KG box of Chicken Drumsticks half price at £1.12 this weekend.

A few days ago I posted a question about using out of date evaporated milk (April 2010) but I haven't spotted a reply. Does anyone know if it will be safe to use?

Moniker - I always go by the sniff test, if it smells ok then I assume it's ok to eat and we are all still alive and well.:o

    A NSD for me today.;)

Dinner tonight is a HM Turkey and Leek pie, still got about 3 more lots of cooked and sliced Turkey in the Freezer left from Xmas day. Will use them up gradually over the coming weeks/months. Also got some cooked and sliced Gammon to use.

Pudding is a HM Pavlova, had some egg whites in the Freezer to use up, will top with some fruit from the Freezer.

    Have a good weekend everyone.:D

Need to sort an online shop for Monday, but hopefully won't need too much.
