P.S. because my total came to zero it wouldn't let me finish my order so I paid by paypal and changed my total to 1p. It's all gone through now (although the company will be randomly receiving 1p off me )

I was also getting the message regarding code being for new customers, so I logged out of the new account I'd just set up and went offline for a while, then I went back into their site. My items were still in the basket but the code was accepted this time, so rather than log into my account, I set up another new account in my husbands name and it went through. I had to pay a penny to use paypal but bought two x 300grms of Hills food for my cat, so I'm very happy.
