Those financial figures are looking pretty darned good!!! It has been a very successful year for you on that front and am sure it will be equally as good next year too!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. KP here's hoping. Hypno, I am pleased with what I have managed as for the majority of the year I had little input from ex. Hopefully this next year he will pay regularly and along with the part time work then I should manage to make a huge hole in the debt by summer. DD leaves school then for uni so a rethink will be necessary but with any luck I will have transferred offices and petrol bill will have dropped significantly. I'm not going to worry about it that's for sure. Money wise I want to make a big difference to the cc debt next ear and I will go at that hammer and tongs. In real terms this year most months I have paid out half of my wages to debt and that has got to change. I will be so well off when this has gone
. I cant bloody wait.
i was out for lunch today with a crowd from work. It wasn't a Christmas lunch but both ladies are turning 60 so that cost me £20 and I also have an 18th tomorrow night which will cost me about £30 between the gift and a taxi. I'm looking forward to it though.
I am excited about Christmas as I love the festive period but I am also dreading it as I reckon this will be the last year I have my wee mum. I'll spend lots and lots of time with her though and we'll have a lovely wee time. I'm not going to let it spoil things, on the contrary we will make this Christmas a doozy. I've just tidied up loads as my clean freak friend is coming round to drop off and pick up gifts and I would have been mortified if she had arrived in the midst of all my mess. Will be fab to see her though

Evening. I have just stopped work for 11 days :j. I am too tired tonight to even appreaiate it and I need to find the energy from somewhere to get up and go to an 18th birthday party . Am picking DD up at 9 and we will head down then but I really really really really cant be bothered. 18yr old boys are such a pain
. But I am so so happy to have stopped work for a while as I am very disillusioned with it just now.
I am really looking forward to Sunday now. It'll be a lovely family day. Great food on the menu and lots of booze. I am also looking forward to stopping spending as if money is not my friend :rotfl:. I am a saddo and cant wait to get stuck into my challenges. I have 2 - the 100 day challenge where I have pledged £1000 by March and the 2012 challenge where I have pledged £10,000. No pressure then .
Spent money on lunch and dinner today as we had chinese in work and a chippy dinner. Noi wonder I have put on a stone . I need to stop :eek:5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Off work for 11 days, lucky you i am off for 3 days then back to work at Mr T. which as you may know has been quite hectic recently. I was hoping to pay my smallest debt off by the 31st but dont think this is going to be possible, but will concentrate on clearing it in the new year, then onto the cc debt.
Have a great xmas, plenty of eating and drinking, what the heck it's once a year, then back to moneysaving angels.xx:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.000 -
Christmas Eve is here again. Historically I always feel rather maudlin on Christmas Eve but not today. My kids are older so not in bed yet so the loneliness of being on my own on Christmas eve is thanfully absent. I remember when kids were young, as ex and I had split, I used to be wrapping presents and building toys up with tears pouring down my face as I felt so lonely. What a waste of tears and energy. Christmas Eve is a reflective time for me and this year I hsve much to be thankful for. I have 2 fab kids, a roof over my head and owe a good few thousand less than last year and there are loads of nice gifts surrounding me in my lounge for the morning. My children will be very happy.
I hope everyone that reads this thread has a peaceful and happy Christmas Love from me xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Thanks May we have had a fab day. Lovely and chilled. DD bought me a kindle
and I cried my eyes out.She is still at school and only works part time so this is a big big deal. When I thought about it I have not had a big pressie since I left home which is really quite sad. Ex never had any money, as he gambled or drank it all, so he never bought me anything decent and since he left there's only been the kids and I. I am so chuffed with it as I have historically asked them for somethin ridiculously expensive every year, knowing there was no chance but hey I got it this year
. Lucky me
. Also found out that although ex's new wife got loads for Christmas she picked it all herself. It made me :rotfl:. So another Chrstmas over and 2 very happy children and a content mum in my house. I hope everyone had a lovely day xx

Happy boxing day folks. I'm having a chilled day today. DD away shopping with her BF and DS has purchased a new laptop with his Christmas/ birthday cash so he has disappeared never to be seen again, other than for feeding time :rotfl:. I have lamb cooking away nicely and will head into mum's about 4 pm to sort her out then home to chill for the evening.
Well I have started my 100 day challenge ( at last) and paid £29 to Sony. DD used the card yesterday to buy hair extensions  so I'll get that money into my account tomorrow and get that paid off too. That wont be anything to do with the challenge mind you. I have £1000 pledged in the challenge over and above my minimums and it ends 10th March so I better get my a$$ into gear. DD and I are cleaning tomorrow and Wednesday so that'll be about £80 I reckon. I'm going to pay it all off for my challenge and start as I mean to go on. I have added £1,200 to my debt over the festive  so I need to get rid of it ASAP. I'll figure everything out by end of week as I get paid on Friday and will do all my sums and figure out my spends for year etc and really get a plan in place. All quite exciting in a geeky sort of way.

Evening folks. I have been reading a self help book I downloaded on my kindle called 'get the life you love'. It's a bit twee but has fairly got me thinking and quite rationally for a change :rotfl:. It's all about taking control. I've read similar books before and when I get in the mood I can follow the way of thinking set down by them. When you think about it life is all about choices. I chose to be in debt by overspending, I chose to be overweight by over eating etc etc I am sure you get the picture. Well I am unhappy ,not desperately so, but unhappy all the same with a few areas in my life.
- debt
- organisational skills
- work
- weight
- love life
Organisation will be more difficult. We are growing out of this house again and it needs a major declutter. It also needs some jobs doing so this week whilst I am off I am going to make a sort of snagging list to work on in 2012. Some things I will not manage as the cost will be too great but things like a fresh coat of paint I should hopefully manage to do.
Work I have hopefully already started to deal with this but I am going to go with the flow on that just now and concentrate on other things
Weight, I have put on over a stone during December which is really really annoying as I worked so hard to lose it. But I have already decided that when I return to work it will be a healthy eating plan that I will be following. So I am hoping I can get that under control again as I am feeling decidedly sluggish just now.
Love life :rotfl:. This needs work as I am a coward about getting into another relationship. I would love someone special in my life but am absolutely terrified that I will get hurt like I did before as I seriously could not get through that again.
So lots to ponder and a massive work in proress but I am sure I will do it and I am going to start slowly decluttering my life, starting with the huge pile of paper work sitting beside me.
No spends today but £30 earned cleaning so that is good.I think I'll download 'the secret' that stupot was talking about and read that as well. I just need a kick up my bum
