Have just been checking out your blog esmer....looks good.:T
I saw so many yummy chocolate slabs that people had made lst year and made an attempt at it myself but it all melted when you touched it...have ordered the thermometer you recommended. Got the chocolate already to give it another whirl.
Maybe I should have held off on buying the choc though:pTrying to earn some pennies from crafting again this year!0 -
First one I ever made, just melted on contact lol! I made chocolates, slabs and spoons and they were not 100% right, but I was getting closer on each attempt.
good luck! It's a lot of fun and mess

Hi all, has anyone any experience with latch hook kits?
I got one of my friend, she had opened it and done a few bits but got bored, it has the pattern but no instructions, I know the basic stitch but hers are nice and even in length and mine seem a bit uneven, do you trim them?? also how do you finish the edges? any help would be great, its a lovely winnie the pooh mat and I love doing it :jThrifty Gifty Money Making =£280 Sealed pot challenge 1192 Toluna = 77339 Bingoport = £10 redeemed + 33470 -

HiI made some latch rugs years ago but I remember being told to put the hook through the square then fold my wool in half and hook it over the latch hook, pull it through the square keeping hold of the two ends then place the hook around the 2 ends pulling it through the loop (hope that makes some sense

Hi,
I did a latch hook rug about 4 years ago and same as above, put latch through then put wool in half hold as you pull through. I seem to remember I just worked to the edges as per pattern and then cut around it. It is still that way in my little girls room now. Good luck with it.
My choccie thermometer just arrived yippee!!!
Will attempt some either later today or tonight when kids in bed.Trying to earn some pennies from crafting again this year!0 -

I'm hoping to make some chocolate bars for my brother in law for his birthday and just read about the choccie thermometer - do I need one of these or will my jam thermometer be ok?Silence is golden...unless you have a toddler. In that case silence is very, very suspicious!0
