  • Mary = sending a big hug i can't begin to imagine how hard it must be for you but we are all here for you to try and occupy your mind and cheer you up as much as we can x x

Young old lady thanks so much for your lovely comments far too kind of you. Trust me i have lost count in the past of the projects i have done that end up looking like my little girl has done them :rotfl: The bit of advice i would say though is that a really decent piece of scrapbook paper or emebellishment can make a big difference. i don't mean go out and spend a fortune although nice papers can be pricey but i try and pick them up in the sale. Also co-ordinating packs that have papers and matching stickers ribbons etc are really good and you can't really go wrong with them. TKMAXX usually have quite a lot reduced. At xmas i got a load of sets for £3.00 each:D Then it really is just trial and error until something looks ok. I tend to handwrite most of my text but if you don't want to do that you can always print text off to make it look neater. Don't be disheartened i'm sure your makes a fantastic. We all tend to put our own work down (it still amazes me that people like my makes and i always see fault with them:o) .
Hope you and OH manage to get through your troubles - all relationships go through hard times hopefully you will pull through and it will make you stronger x x

CT19720 i love your scarf you clever minx well done :D

Bless you all for being so kind :A

I know I'll have ''down'' days but today I was determined not to so set to and made about 4 cards..........nothing special but it kept me focused for a while.
OH and his mate have put our new bed up (OH now putting clean bedding on -bet it doesn't match............lol but bless him he's so good and never complains about all the extra things he has to do)
So,hoping the cloud will stay lifted for a while at least..........better not rain on my parade..............lol:)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Thanks for the lovely comments on my scarf, I am really chuffed with it.

Cuddles - the label off the wool says 'Big Value - Double Knit by King Cole Ltd, shade 279 dye 40655. It cost me £1.99 for a 100g ball in a local cheapy shop, and they had other colours so will go back and see what they have got at the weekend. Its 100% Acrylic. Does this help. Not sure what it all means really, just picked it as I loved the colour.

Mary glad you have had a good day, hope it continues like that for you.

Youngoldlady - hope you manage to sort things out with your OH, if that is what you want/need to do. Sending you hugs xx

  • :TLove the colour in your room esmer!!! Looks lovely. I would love to be able to paint that sort of a colour on a wall in our room but DH would not be having that! men!! (any present company totally excepted!)

    CT lovely scarf.

Tina your bits are lovely too. Wish I could find the time to do more. Still seeing all your bits is great.

MaryOp hope you are ok and that you continue to be so upbeat! Not many would be so optimistic!

Nothing new to post except I was wondering if anyone has ever decorated the outside of the casing that T-Light candles come in? If so what did you use...am thinking of putting glittler on the outside or ribbon not sure what to use to attach that would not be a fire hazard...might have to experiment a bit.
Trying to earn some pennies from crafting again this year!

I hope you're right about relationships :o OH is one to bury his head in the sand for months on end and then complain that the problems are the size of Mount Everest :rotfl:So working through it will be hard work! x x

Thank you for your kind words CT. It's a hard road. This is his first proper "serious" relationship ie involving moving in together and engagement. I'm 24 and divorced (well as of March) and have a 4 year old daughter! :rotfl:He still has a lot of growing up to do. It really annoys me that he still clings on to his parents' apron strings when I've been 100% independent for 6 years  We're working on that and all the other issues but it has been very rocky for the past few months. I think the Relate book I bought has helped :o x x
    Engaged since 25/12/2009

Well I was engaged. Until we separated on 8th March :( Here's hoping that having a break will help us solve all our problems. Until then I'm a single mum on a tight budget :(

I am planning on making clocks for my daughter and both daughter in laws. I bought the chargers in the sales and I am going to cut some vinyl on my cricut, I also have bought the clock movement it was about £3 on ebay. This is where I got the idea from http://www.etsy.com/listing/61961857/let-it-snow-clock-face-christmas-decor

  • Youngoldlady men take a lot longer to grow up (if they ever do!) i am 36 and have been with my husband for 20 years eeek. My hubby is a couple of years older than me but has probably only really grown up in the last few years. Thats men for you plus they think on a completely different level - i stopped trying to work out their logic quite a few years ago:rotfl:Hopefully you will work it out and if not then it wasn't meant to be x x x

Lovely makes. That scarf looks nice and toasty :T

Here is what I've been upto. I did say that I've hung up my crochet hooks....but wanted to do summat but not sewing and as I had some left over cotton I decided, after a bit of faffing, to make a necklace.
There is another photo you know where;)
