Well just sat and made my very first home-made birthday card. And it really doesn't look too bad .:D Will be making a few more tonight so I will have a stock of them ready for when I need them.

Cuddles - just wanted to say thanks for posting the pictures - I'm glad you did as it wasn't a bit like I'd imagined it! I would have done it all wrong :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.

Will be giving it a try in the next couple of weeks - if I ever manage to find time between reading posts!!

Esmer its a tooth fairy wooden hanger with a felt pouch i don't know why it cam out so small. I will be putting better pics of it on my blog and i'll copy one over then as they seem to come out bigger when i copy them from there x x

tina - brilliant chalkboard :T

Not done anything today except make a few notelets for myself, couple of easter cards.......bit early I know but think I did too much standing yesterday when cleaner was sorted out our bedroom. I was trying to help showing her what went where. So today is ''sitting down and doing easy things day.''.............lol:)

Tina love the noticeboard it's so pretty.

Can i just ask what kind of paint do you use for your wooden shapes is it emulsion ?

Cuddles i haven't done a mug hug yet i've been finishing my cross stitch but it's all done now so maybe tonight i'll get one done.

I use spray paint as i'm lazy lol!. I also use mod podge ontop to seal it. You can use pretty much anything though x x

tina -when I've done bits like that I've used whatever emulsion is kicking around that'll be the right colour,one coat normally does it so a bit of the wood shows through..........paint it on, then goover it with a dry brush to take some paint off if need be. Then I put some dark wax polish on,just a thin coat-wipe it on, wipe it off, to give it a distressed sort of look.

Think with foster daughters kitchen sign I'll varnish it like I did with her OH's shed sign.It'll give better protection for where they're going.
