Dizzytina - brilliant work - I love the bee
  • I had a go at making the diaper pouch from noodlehead's blog lastnight and think it has turned out ok - never done any boxed corners before so found that a little tricky but overall I'm pleased with it.

Silence is golden...unless you have a toddler. In that case silence is very, very suspicious!

    Thanks everyone.

This is actually the first one I made.
Had to make a strip to finish it as I didn't have the right colour ribbon.
This one is smaller, but more fiddly.

    Hi all,

I'm toying with the possibility of making either a wooden shape-sorting cube or lift-out shapes puzzle for a couple of babies birthdays I've got coming up. Has anyone made anything similar before? Or have any other ideas for handmade gifts for babies/toddlers?

    Thanks x

i like to make (knit/crochet) baby blocks. i normally do 3 the same size and add felt letters/numbers.... these go down well.... or again with the wool lol... i do cakes, fruit , veg... and for boys i do rockets and planets.... the boys is really easy and the planets can have a either a chain (in crochet) coming out of the planets and tied onto a stick or something and then the parents can hang it up, or instead of using wool, fishing line can be used so it looks as tho they are floating....

a you tube search with guide you on how to make them all..

another idea could be to make one of those play mats, where it crinkles and crunches, and has a mirror and laces nzips n stuff...
