hi everyone i wanted to share what im working on for my mums birthday, im sorry couldnt get pics up so please use links, my mum has always been a dressmaker and although now retired she still enjoys making for herself so i have made her a sewing box , made from a key box i bought from a charity shop, i have made it vintage shabby chic style with a large padded pin cushion lid (with gorgious cupcake fabric. http://www.flickr.com/photos/clairsminis/5357947602/ and http://www.flickr.com/photos/clairsminis/5357948420/

I bought some old 7" vinyl records today and made some lovely dishes ~ 2 of these will be for my sister for christmas
Not sure what Im filling them with yet but something will pop into my head before then!!
Might buy some more 12" records to make quirky clocks later too ;-)

I put a link on here (I think) but can't find it............for things like fabri hearts, painted signs, stuff like that,
Got a couple of blanks -one shaped like rolling pin, the other just a round one and looking for ideas what to paint on them............help ???I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

rather quiet in here today. Well today i have made my first attempt at a sock monkey. I found it fairly easy, but im not happy with the stitching of the mouth etc to the body.What stitches does everyone use. Hope im in the right place.
