I'm heading back to uni this week and could do with a small sewing project to keep me sane in between essays!
Anyone got any ideas?0 -

Depends if you want something functional or not. If not, you could make some sarubobo babies. I think they are very cute and are very easy to make.0 -

I'm think i'm sorted on ideas for the children - love the crayon rolls so I think those with a nice bag to keep some art bits in will be good
I'm really struggling with the men though - does anyone have any good homemade gift ideas for men??
i have seen crayon rolls but with extra pouches, so a larger pocket for a pad, flap/elastic/pocket for rubber, etc
i dont have a link sorry but its just an idea!

Thank you, i am big on ideas, sort on motivation, or only enough motivation to get so far, then it goes into a bag/box/corner of the room, never to be finished again, hoping that wont happen for all this, as i really dont want to be spending too much...

Abatha, what about making bags, little gift bags for all those sarubobo dolls! bags for your shopping - just big enoughto hold a carton of milk, loaf of bread and a tin of chopped toms etc... could help when going shopping lol, girly gift bags (i have a crochet one taht i do for young girls birthdays, and fill with toy crochet cupcakes, it is suposed to be a string type shopper bag, but it goes down really well.Living Simply, not simply living.Weight Loss - 5b/55lb

Ooh I love discovering these threads but I'm in danger of DVT! Can I join too? I made a few things this Christmas but started way too late, just a scarf, some teacup candles and violet vodka. I would love to make all my pressies but will probably be a mix of hand made & hopefully money neutral bargains. I do love charity shops & Freegle too.
I've been checking out your blogs too, full of beautiful things.I did pint of socks for the men, and accompanied it with Beer or cider.
Esmer, I'm glad you are feeling a wee bit better, hope your brother is OK now. I checked you homepage & this is EXACTLY what i was looking for for BIL. You hand draw much better than I ever could though :TInfamy, infamy, they've all got it in infamy!!0 -
Hi guys can I join in please? I did post a bit at the beginning of last year but mostly lurked and apart from making all my Christmas cards all hopes of a handmade Christmas were thrown out the window.... so this year I'm gonna be organised!!! (said it now haven't I )
My crafting skills so far include knitting, cardmaking (which has kinda taken over my life, my livingroom, my dining-table, my floor... yeah you get the picture), I used to crotchet and cross-stitch, would love to sew, make jewellery, get back into painting.... yep pretty much anything handmade.
I know some of you already and hope to get to know the rest of you over the year (oh and if you don't see me posting PM me and kick my butt or I'll end up buying everything again this year)0 -
Lolalemon cream eggs are £1.45 a box of 6 at co-op at the mo. dont know if that cheap enough for you but never really seen em much cheaper than that anywhere before Easter. ( I am a self confessed cream egg addict. lol)Nothing to declare

Cuddles I absolutely love the after dinner hints, and will definately be making them for a couple of the men in my family for Christmas
Esmer your cakes are fab, wish I was patient enough to make such wonderful creations.
Well with an empty weekend - bar putting some items in the loft I will have no excuses not to get creative, then we're at Centre Parcs next week so I'm taking the knitting in the hope I can pick up where I left off which was the making simple scarfs stage0
