    Men can be tough.

    Knitted hat/scarf set?
Foody gifts - such as chocolate slabs, sweety bouquet, flavoured vodka, chutneys?

I found this thread on another forum that might help: http://www.thriftyfun.com/tf849954.tip.html

    Good luck!
  • thanks for the link think I'll have a read of that later with a nice cup of tea and hopefully find some inspiration

definitely need a homemade presents year this year just got the car back from it's mot and was about £200 more than we had budgeted

I'm think i'm sorted on ideas for the children - love the crayon rolls so I think those with a nice bag to keep some art bits in will be good

I'm really struggling with the men though - does anyone have any good homemade gift ideas for men??

For men this year I made Magnetic Bookmarks, Candy Cane Puzzles, Weather Wallys and After Dinner Hints

  • That cake is brilliant esmer - I spent hours and hours on the cake for my son's 1st birthday last year hopefully I'll be a bit quicker at it this year!

I did pint of socks for the men, and accompanied it with Beer or cider. They all liked home-made fudge, truffles, and chocolates and even the shortbread. Im going to make Jams and chutneys, going to see what they like and make a batch of them :)

i gave Beanie hats, and scarfs too. and my dad a cook book.
