I'd like to make some flavoured alcohol for my SIL2 for her birthday, but her drink of choice is Barcardi.

Any ideas of what I can do with it?

Off to look at the curtains now - need some new ones too!!

Isn't a mojito barcardi & lime? I know lime is very popular with barcardi, so I would give that a whirl. Or coconut as someone else suggested, but not sure how that would work.

I've found a rag doll pattern - came in the latest Crafts Beautiful mag, so I can do that for my friend's little girl. And I've finally got round to posting a pic of the Christmas card I made for Mum on my blog.

I really want to make a quilt this year too of old jeans and maybe have a go at a jeans bag I've heard mentioned in the past.

Just come out of hospital...........bit of an emergency last Thursday when I couldnt walk.......seems 3 bones at the base of my spine are either fractured or are crumbling..........have to go for a bone scan to find out and then see what, if anything, can be done. Till then I'm very attached to a walking frame..........main mode of transport from one room to the other.............lol
Think I'll be very limited to what I ''create'' for pressies depending on how long this goes on for.

Laura -love the heart.:T..........what is blind stitching ? Is it like a sort of back stitch ?

Poor you Mary! Sending big hugs. I hope you get better soon x
    Engaged since 25/12/2009

Well I was engaged. Until we separated on 8th March :( Here's hoping that having a break will help us solve all our problems. Until then I'm a single mum on a tight budget :(

EsmerArt Clay Silver low-fire clay can be fired with glass, some stones and sterling silver. You can fire it with a torch, on a gas stove, or in a kiln. Simply shape your piece, leave it to dry, and fire it - and you're left with a pure fine silver piece. The clay can be hallmarked as fine silver at any UK Assay Office. A 7gm package should be enough to make an average sized ring, and maybe a charm or two. Per information on http://www.metalclay.co.uk/products/Art-Clay-Silver-650-Clay-%2d-7gm.html.
Lolalemon – I bought the two kitchen kits from http://www.metalclay.co.uk/products/Kitchen-Kit.html they were only £15.95 each and delivery is free over £30 (otherwise it was only £2). Just went back to get the link and looks like they’ve sold out though, I think the next kit is £39.95. I also bought my mum this book from Amazon to help get her started http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/0715327658/ref=oss_product
